We came here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon and arrived at their outdoor seating area at about 2:50 PM, since lunchtime in Spain is usually 1:30 to 3:30 and Sundays its often later. We found a table for 2 easily enough, but sat there and were completely ignored until we flagged down a waiter at about 3:15. He came over and told us their kitchen is closed and so all we could order was either Octopus or Cooked Ham that was being prepared in a temporary tent setup outside. We questioned why everybody else had other food from the menu in front of us and he told us their kitchen had closed at 2:30 because they had too many tables inside with reservations. Because we were hungry and were at the end of the pier where there were no other eateries, we reluctantly ordered 2 beers and a pulpo (octopus), while we watched all these other outdoor tables receive their orders of crab, calamari, croquetas, and all different types of seafood. The beers came after several minutes, along with some bread. The pulpo arrived about 15 minutes later and though it was served with warm cooked potatoes, it only came with toothpicks; no forks, no placemats, no napkins (other than the see-thru ones inside the dispenser), so since potatoes were falling all over the table, we finally asked for forks and got them when we were more than half way thru our pulpo. At this point we asked for one more beer, but it never arrived. After we watched our waiter serve a beer to the table next to us and never looked our way, then went to another nearby table with a party of 8 to take their order and offered them everything on the menu as well as their specials of the day, we decided it was time to leave so we asked for the bill and paid.As we were leaving, several other people continued to arrive and were seated and served on the outdoor patio. So, either this is how they treat the party of two that just arrived by chance and didn't have a reservation, or they don't like to serve people that are obviously not from their tiny port town. We have never been treated so poorly in a restaurant anywhere, ever !!!!Although we vacation in this area for months each summer, and people here are generally very kind, welcoming, and friendly, unfortunately the people running this restaurant leave a very bad impression for the town. As a result, we will make it a point to never return and to tell all the locals we meet about how horriblly we were treated there. They also get many TOURISTS here every year, so we hope they too will read this review and STAY AWAY !!!!!

This restaurant, on first appearance, looks like a sports bar. But donât let the looks deceive you. The food & service were outstanding. The best restaurant we ate at in Viveiro and would highly recommend it if youre visiting this lovely town.

Down the hill from Hotel Ego, this place does not look like too much â even when we arrived (just after 8 in the afternoon) there was a group of older guys smoking inside the restaurant. Service was not the most friendly, but pretty good, and more importantly the food was good â with only the bread being a bit meh; otherwise all the dishes were of generous sizes and good.

Restaurante con una carta actual basada en pescados y mariscos de la lonja de Celeiro, cocinados para realzar su sabor. Con carnes de la zona y postres elaborados en casa.Restaurant with a modern menu based on seafood from the fish market Celeiro, cooked
If gastronomical is mentioned in the name of an establishment, I tend to become very critical upfront. But in this case, no reason to worry. Why? Because every course is prepared with absolutely fresh ingredients, tastefully cooked and nicely presented.Dont expect Michelin conditions, it's traditional cuisine. The locals seem to eat here. Low season and almost full in midweek!Portions are big, you won't leave the table hungry.Oh, that tarte of crispy suckling pig was exquisite.Wine list is solely Spanish. Prices for everyones purse. You can even order a carafe.Waiting without fuss. They do their absolute best to translate the menue for the tourists without sighing, as is often the case in Spain. We were so full, so, instead of dessert, we ordered a aguardente and partner a mochito sorbet. No music played at all and I like that the most.Hey, we where very happy with this meal.

The food was outstanding from start to finish. The owner served us personally and despite lack of English made us feel very welcome. He even found us a secluded table in the Restaurant where we able to take our little dog. You must eat here if you are anywhere in Northern Galicia.

Only staying in Hotel Ego for one night but thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Nitoâs. Beautiful setting, delicious food although disappointed at the Percebes not being available. Jamon exquisite, Merluza de Galicia gorgeous, very nice Spanish gin and good bottle of wine all made for a lovely evening!

Had the tuna salad and bacon. The former is their speciality. Both were excellent. Really impressed. They had good wine too and the service was 10/10. Very well run place. Great place to hang out too.
