This beach located restaurant I was a surprising find in the tourist town of Villa Gesell. It has a chilled beach vibe with efficient and friendly service. The food in as a Spanish edge to it. We tried the Paella for 2 people. It was actually better than some of the stuff I've eaten in Spain. The seafood was fresh. The rice was cooked to perfection. This is the first restaurant we've been to in the area that actually seasons the food and uses fresh herbs. Do drink the special orange and Chinese spice tea that they brew up. I regret finding this restaurant on our last day in VG.

From almost 45 years ago, the traditional "Cantina Arturito" was a reference point in the local cuisine in Villa Gesell. Today it still coming bigger, keeping the old and delicious italian pasta, handmade in the kitchen of "La Cantina" for as long as four
La comida es cara. Pero tienen un menú âturÃsticoâ accesible con postre, el precio es bueno y la comida muy buena al igual que la atención. El lugar muy limpio y servicial. Realmente recomendable, pero hay cosas mejores.

La Canasta was so relaxing to eat in. It wasn't like other mega tourist restaurants in town. The service was efficient and friendly. The food was reasonably priced. Portions are large. Do consider splitting an entree and sides. There is also free WiFi.

We found this bar for breakfast initially, because it was close to the hotel. We subsequently went there several times during that weekend. Lovely views, relaxing atmosphere with chill out music, reasonable selection of bar food. Well worth a visit.

If you want to eat generous portions of pasta in Mar Azul this is probably the best place. It is tucked away from the main street in a cabin type buildingWe chose a variety of pastas, all pretty good, difficult to know if they were home made but the sauces were plentiful. The price does tend to add up very quickly as the sauces and pasta are charged separately - never saw this before.All-in-all one of the better restaurants we ate in Mar Azul.

There were no smiles from any of the waiters and they served us without any joy in their hearts. Food was OK, service was terrible. They also had no Dutch or other European food despite it all being on the menu.

The staff at this restaurant made every effort to ensure that all the customers rang in the New Year with great food, drink and a convivial atmosphere. We were given a menu that consisted of 5 set menus. However, mew were told that could mix and match to our taste. Many locals frequent this restaurant and their normal restaurant menu looked good and had a very Spanish feel to it. I loved the flan with the dulce de leche. Better quality than I've eaten in Spain. The seafood was cooked very well. The staff were lovely and professional. This restaurant is popular and is best to make a reservation.

Not ones for dining late, we ambled into this place at about 7:30 to find the owner. He was gracious, helpful, and shared interesting stories. We both enjoyed our dinners--great cut of beef and a generous fish dish--and wines. Outstanding are the potatoes cut like coins and fried to crisp, golden perfection. Lovely desserts, too.
