We were booked in for dinner by a very discerning local and had a great evening. Lovely views of the yachts and a spectacular sunset after a stormy day. The pasta with king crab was DIVINE. Fabulous flavours perfectly matched and beautifully presented. My wife and I shared a turbot freshly caught, cooked and prepared. Delicious! The wine list is great and decent value. All the staff were charming and attentive. Thank you for a great evening. Dear 160dominicd, thank you very much for your feedback. Weâll be pleasured to have you as our guest again soon.

Little and nice place. Only 35 seats. Only fish. 12 to 15 little starters with good white wine just to begin. Then they proposes 6-7 different first wonderful dishes (pasta) . Usually we select 2-3 different tastes. Then you can chose among 2 or 3 second dishes , usually steam cooked fishes. The final is with their excellent desserts made by them and served with some sweet wine (usually from Southern Italy). If you like you can ask for a liquor:they have an incredible selection: grappas , rhum , whiskeys and so on.....Currently the price is fix (35Euro) but don't hope to book a place. 2013 is already fully booked and they don't yet take bookings for 2014. I have some reservation in 2013 , booked in february 2012 !!!

I've been there twice. Always good. Cordiality. Fast service. You can eat without trouble even if you have a celiac disease. We have been there with kids with this problem and they enjoyed a nice meal. maybe not too many choices for vegetables but you can have either a light meal or a filling dinner

The Ristorante Ciccarelli Esplanade offers Professional and Welcoming Service, fresh and genuine dishes made with knowledge from the Kitchen Staff..
We used this restaurant as we were half board guests at the residence hotel. I was initially dubious about the food on half board relatively inexpensive holiday however I was pleasantly surprised. Breakfast was standard buffet style but catered for all breakfast preferences as well as vegan and gluten free. It was possible to have special orders of omelette fried eggs etc. All this was served between 7 and 10 am by excellent attentive friendly staff. Evening meals were exceptional there was good choices of 3 courses on half board menu always a pasta, fish dish, meat option and vegetarian option. If in the unlikely event you did not like the daily menu it was possible to substitute your dish from the a la crate menu. I can honestly say that in 10 occasions I ate there neither of us were disappointed. The options to eat on the terrace outside or in air conditioned restaurant were available. As this hotel is open to the public it was often busy with a great atmosphere. The staff are all excellent really efficient even when busy guests get first class service at all times. I will give special thanks to Giulio who served our table most nights as well as having really good wine knowledge and recommendations he was friendly with excellent English and made us laugh !wishing him well in his law career. This restaurant is a must if you find yourself in Viareggio!!Dear 123ellibob, thank you very much for your kind feedback, Giulio and alla the staff will wait for you for another experience with us!!Best regardsGiuseppe

Typical old bistrò in Art Nouveau style.
We visited Pivot on 11 April. Beautiful restaurant with a great atmosphere. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. The staff made us feel very welcome with our daughter (who is only aged two) and they moved tables around to accommodate us as we hadn't booked ahead. They also took time to explain the menus and it was clear they were very passionate about their food. Fine dining for a mid-range price. I really hope to visit again one day.

Came to this place after spending some time at a nearby beach club. The staff was very friendly and our waiter spoke really good English. My friend and I both ordered the fish pasta with olives, capers, and tomatoes. Best pasta we have had in Italy. We also ordered a bottle of white wine that was super cheap and delicious. The restaurant gave us a free soup appetizer and a free fresh strawberries and cream dessert which were both also amazing. 10/10 recommend.

We had a nice dinner here during our latest holiday to Tuscany. Despite visiting Viareggio more than 10 times over the years, we'd never managed to organise ourselves to eat in this restaurant before. The staff were friendly and the food was consistently good throughout. However, compared to other "high class" restaurants in the area, Lunasia isn't quite up there (I'm thinking Il Picolo Principe, Lux Lucis, La Magnolia) despite being equally as pricey.
