We ordered take-away from an enormous menu and had 2 small beers as we waited. The restaurant was full of locals which is always a good sign and we were not disappointed. 4 pizzas (and beers) was 32 Euros. Superb food and great prices. Thoroughly recommended. ( no gluten free option the only negative )

Da Mario Restaurant offers unique fish specialties, thought and created by a gourmet team that has lived and loved the Mediterranean, Sicilian lands and waters.
A very good little restaurant in the middle of town, and a great find. Excellent food, one of our best meals in Italy, traditional prawn cocktail for starters followed by Irish (!) Angus steaks, one with a brilliant mushrooms in cream sauce - really delicious. Good desserts. Good valpolicella classico eased it all down very nicely. Good service though we had a small hiccup due to language incompatibility, but no problem and easily resolved in a pleasant friendly manner. A much better dinner than our hotel provided. Can well recommend.

Locale gradevole sulla statale con un piacevole dehors. La cucina è molto interessante improntata sulla cucina regionale. In questo caso siciliana. Menu gradevole e vario. Personale gentile e disponibile. Il rapporto qualità prezzo è molto buono. Il locale interno è piccolino e forse in inverno poco intimo e rumoroso. Locale informale.

Small and non descript locale, but everything right, and friendly, good vibes. The food was simple yet extraordinarily well prepared, we ordered a tagliatelle with truffles, that were very early for the season. Strange weather, very hot with breaks of downpours, made for early truffles. The tagliatelle very much al dente, and perfectly 'mantecati ' without dripping in sauce, an amazing taste and result, perfectly paired with a light and reasonably priced Barbera. A real surprise, of a find, outstanding food, service and reasonably priced. Just doing it all well

This is a really nice, very popular restaurant. It was also the only thing open the night we were in Nus! We had wandered all around town before going in here. It just looks so blah from the street. We were early, 7:20, by Italian dinner time, and it was already filling up. Nice tablecloths. Food was good. Service was spotty...but when you did get the waiters attention, results were quick. I would definitely eat here again.

From the moment you get the the excellent breads and the 'amuse bouche', which is in fact a whole dish filled with delicacies prepared with a variety of techniques, ranging from tempura to a spherification of tomato, you realise you're in for a good experience. The menu reads very well and you want to try everything, but we were in for a light dinner and we limited ourselves to first/starter and main. Cappelletti pasta with ossobuco had a very good filling and sauce (pasta slightly brittle). Moelleux of asparagus was a refined and flavoursome starter. The mains were great: I've eaten many ducks, but this breast was one of the deepest tasting and best cooked I've tried this year. The accompanying meatball would also have been perfect except for a bit of overcooking which reduced moistness. The artichokes going with it however were ideal. And a lamb featured again good and nicely cooked produce, but what elevated this dish were the garnishes, including dates, dried roses and a chickpea puree (described as hummous though I don't think there was any tahini). We skipped desserts, but with our tea excellent petit fours were offered which promise well for the patisserie section... Beside the quality of the produce and the technique, there's a pleasant sense of generosity in this restaurant. The room is warm and impressive and tastefully decorated, in a former granary. Service is competent and polite. Food prices represent quite good value for money considering the quality (and even the quantity, which is higher than average for restaurants of this quality). A place to return to at the next opportunity.

We were suggested ordering fish for all courses (yes, fish: even if this restaurant is on the Valle d'Aosta mountains it offers fish) but both were surprisingly "anonymous".I ordered pasta with prawns but it had just one of those shellfishes on no more fish. Taste was not bad but it seems more a tomato pasta than what I ordered. After this I ordered a mixed fishes grill and also in this case it was not so good: tuna fish was ok even if a little bit too dried and poor in taste but there was also a small part of octopus that was terrible hard and with a bad taste and a cuttlefish that was even worse.I decided to choose fish meals under the recommendation of the owner and of the cook that told me that fish is their specialty (they both come from Sicily) but it was a wrong choice. The only excellent thing was the sicilian white vine. Finally also price was not so a positive aspect: it is expensive for a lunch with food I dislike. In the case food was ok, price is in line with mid-pricing restaurants. However, don't consider it as a "trattoria" or a pizzeria!Dear customer, we are sorry our food was not in line with your expectations. We do not pretend to be a high level "trattoria" or "pizzeria", we are just two retired person who do this job for love and passion and, even if we try to do our best, it may happens we can't. That means that we have still a lot to improve. It it happens, we would be glad to offer you a dinner, just to ask you sorry to have betrayed the confidence you made on us. Best regards Enzo and Lina
