Good sushi! Great prawns! Delectable seafood! I often visit Ocean Basket Riverside Boulevard when my seafood craving kicks in. The staff are incredibly friendly and well trained. Occasionally a bit of wait, but there is always a fresh drink to keep you company. I have never been disappointed by anything Iâve ordered, this is exactly the standard I would expect from any Ocean Basket around the country.Hey there Roadtripwithkaren.Wow! We heard about this restaurant from church friends, who were quite impressed and we thought to pay it a visit.Situated in the Meyerton Agricultural Holdings area of Meyerton, it is well removed from the hustle and bustle of town and traffic noice.It is a "farm style" restaurant and absolutely focussed on kiddies as well as relaxing time for adults.The main restaurant consists of a large thatched roof are as well as verandah.There is a swimming pool, with shaded seating, trampolines, free "mall kiddies rides" koi ponds, big blowbup slide, and many more gazebo covered tables.The menu focusses on small meals and the biggest grill dish would be a 300gr rump steak.But even so the menu has a variety of small meals which are freshly made. So, allow some time for this.A nice selection of cakes are also on order.The restaurant also has a well equipped bar.In essence, this is a fun family dayout venue.The menu meal prices are very reasonable.We are sure to take the grandchildren there. No doubt.The main thing is that there is covered covered seating at all the kiddie activities.

My wife and I went to JD in the Vaal mall for a small celebration. I had breakfast at Annaâs Kitchen this morning. The staff is very friendly, very attentive and the surroundings just beautiful. I ordered the banting breakfast but was disappointed when it arrived with not a single mushroom as it was described as being served on a bed of mushroom. This was soon rectified by a friendly staff member, yet I feel it should not have happened. Good Morning,Thank you for taking the time to review Anna's Kitchen. We were traveling to Johannesburg and stopped with friends in this town. They said we would not be disappointed in this restaurant - so we met them there - and they were quite correct. Good service and excellent cuisine. Very true to Portuguese tradition.I had the prawn cheese starter (served in the same way as snails) really very tasty and the guys had the kale and potato soup and raved about it. (would have been five stars but they said they had to charge the guys for two extra rolls to have with their soup as they had eaten the bread whilst waiting with their drinks - I felt this was a bit mean!) However the main was delicious - the casserole steak with an egg on top. The sauce was divine - the potatoes too much - the rice would have been sufficient - but I had help eating them from the guys :-) I would definitely order this again. Never made it to desert as plenty of food on the plate.Very good restaurant and a very wide menu.
