We had passed this place on a few occations and noticed it was empty. Eventually we gave it a try . Initially the staff seemed a little uninterested but after engaging with the manager she was very chatty and pleasant Ambience obviously quiet but ok the furniture is wooden and comfortable as opposed to the plastic seating you often get. On both occasions we had a tandoori dish as we were trying for something less rich than we had been eating all dishes were good including 1/2 chicken and tikka. Side salds were fresh and adequate and the butter nans were excelantThe cost was reasonable average to that area I would go again Not sure why it is not busier certainly nothing I saw would put me off

It is a pleasant atmosphere, but the food was average, the service very slow and it was relatively expensive compared to other local places. We preferred Joecons Beach Restaurant, where the food was better, with no taxes, and a pretty sunset on the beach.

This place is outside the caravella resort, varca. So makes sense to visit Jolinn if you stay at caravella or around. I have reviewed the restaurant from the point of view of a quintessential Goan experience. They do not serve the local liquor or authentic Goan food. They do have a selection of Goan dishes on the menu though. I think the place can do better on the food front. The service was dealt with a smile and Rakesh who waited on us was a gracious host. Visit only if you are nearby. We trekked all the way from benaulim so we could try a new place (which was unnecessary in hindsight)

Our party of 4 had a pleasant evening here on our recent holiday. This was the most rustic of the beach shacks we visited with sand being the only flooring- in the kitchens as well though everything appeared very clean. Toilets were commented on by those in the party on their first trip to India. Though the style was western, there was no flush but a barrel full of water and a scoop for one to add water. This is India and I am fine with this though I appreciate this may be a cultural shock to some. Food was perfectly adequate though, as I write this some 10 days after my visit, I gave less recollection of this than other meals- sorry. Bill for 4 with 2 drinks each and garlic naan was Rs 3400 after tip.

Excellent food ! Home style Goan food. Not the run of the mill restaurant fare but scrumptious authentic kind. The owner herself cooks and it makes all the difference. We had the beef crumb chops, calamari Reshado masala & beef chilli fry. All excellent. I Would highly recommend Papa Joes over so many fancy big name restaurants, the authenticity of the food is what counts the most. The ambiance is simple but clean and very peaceful. Excellent service compliments the meal. A south Goa must visit. Donât miss out.

Interactive dining experience like never before, relish the freshness, handcrafted delicacies finished on the table. The feel of the entire restaurant is homely and aimed at authenticity. The gastronomy is important, but the environment where it is tasted

Half a meter away from the beach, view of lush green paddy fields, relaxed atmosphere, multi-cuisine restaurant with seafood and Goan food specialty...
I love local places, they have less ambiance but great food, would recommend prawn curry rice and seafood. Airy and comfortable, the service is with a smile. Located close to the beach, however one does not get a view of beach or field that is nestled in. But the place is calm. Thanks for the review...

Sanjay and his wife run what has, for many years, been one of the best shacks to eat at in Benaulim. Always a great welcome when we visit. Superb food, friendly staff and regularly weekly entertainment.Traditionally we always go there for our first meal back each year.Never disappoints.
