A fantastic local restaurant owned & run by a Portuguese family. Great service from all the staff, attentive but not intrusive. I had the monkfish kebab with coriander rice & it was amazing. Definitely worth a trip. We will be back.

Service better than last time maybe because it was quieter . Food ok beautiful views of the sea . Prices for sweet on the high side. Meal was nice but not the best

10 of us ate here laste week and it was wthout a doubt the best meal we had during our 8 night stay, between us we had sirloins ,t- bone peppered and a fillet on the stone and they were all excellent, , The staff were helpful, pleasant and also had a good sense of humour.

Izzyâs has long been a real favourite of ours and since Rory returned last year it certainly hasnât disappointed. We always get an amazing welcome from all of the staff and on our four visits this year we had fabulous food, service and ambiance! Their sea bass with their special lemon and garlic sauce is fantastic and another favourite is the tiger prawns. Not to be missed. Thank you to everyone there for looking after us so well. If it is fish you like then this is the best place to eat in on the Algarve! Not that the restaurant does not serve lovely meat and fowl dishes also.The convert choices are superb- almost a meal in themselves. Certainly you wonât need a starter if you have two or three of the couverture dishes on offer! The owner has a wine wholesale and retail business so you can expect an extensive wine list which is reasonably pricedLaura,Delsio and the rest of the staff are friendliness personified.Children are welcome as one would expect in a Portugese owned place.However the restaurant is not a bad place to go with your spouse,partner or lover- who may be one and the same person Enjoy a truly lovely meal at a reasonable price.

I went to Sandbanks for the first time the other day, and I really loved this restaurant. It´s a bit more upmarket than the usual beach restaurants, but not a pretentious eatery either. There is a relaxed, casual and familiar atmosphere here. Location is an important plus, just at the beachfront, it´s a vast open space full of sunlight and fresh breeze everywhere, everything is very clean and decorated in light colours. Staff is young, friendly and efficient. Dishes have an original and attractive presentation. Food is delicious, due to its quality and its good preparation: it offers an original mixture of elements and soft flavours, I guess due to the good use of species. They aren´t the usual dishes you find everywhere. Generous quantities, but not as big as they usually have in Portugal: ordering just a dish will make most people feel satisfied. Desserts are nice and well presented too. Prices are average or just a bit over that. I admit I was expecting for something more expensive due to its location and proximity to a luxury hotel, but the bill was a nice final surprise. A place to come back.Thank you very much for your great review and comments. Our fifth year visiting Quarteira and we ate here twice, as we always do.Whether it's a daytime lunch or a 'dress up' dinner, the quality of the food never drops below five star.The fresh catch of the day is always excellent, and we ate sole, sea bass as well as the chicken curry and steak, all were beautifully cooked and served.Desserts as well were lovely, and finished off with coffee and macieira...wonderful!Thanks again Miguel and Vanessa for all your hard work, well done.

BJâs was recommended to us by as a friend as her most favourite beach bar ever. This sounds like high praise but having visited last night we agree.Being October things are starting to wind down and they serve food until 18.00 in the evening. During the summer it must be much later. I would suggest booking especially if you wanted a table at the edge of the beach which our table was.The team running the place were welcoming and unhurried but very efficient, a great combination.We all ate off the fresh fish board which was a little more expense but was first class. We didnât hold back on starters main, and two of the group had starters. For the 4 of us including all drinks and a tip it came to â¬190.Towards the end of the meal the sun set giving the most amazing set set we have seen for a long time.Well worth a visit.I am so pleased that you enjoyed your visit to Bjs and I really hope we can welcome you again soon.
