When we were in Udine for business trip, we were looking a place for dinner. We found this place by chance but it was perfect. Definetelly 10 out of 10. Pizzas were amazing and it was so big , 2 can share easily a pizza, sea food was so delicious. The only thing i can say negatively is the don't have english menu. The rest was fascinating.

Firstly I will say, the pizza's we had were great! However, the service we received was amongst the poorest I have come across. Our waitress, appart from generally not being friendly, completely ignored us for 35 minutes - we were trying to catch her attention so we could order dessert and coffee, we caught her eye multiple times, but she continued clearing table cloths, in the by this point empty restaurant. Basically, if you want good pizza, go for it - but don't count on the waitress being pleasant.

This is type of place that we seek when we travel. Old but updated, well decorated with local foods you will not find outside the region. We shared fico which is soft potato and cheese with crispy friable waffle followed by traditional ravioli stuffed with potatoes, raisins, cinnamon, lemon balm, seasoned with melted butter and smoked ricotta. We drank a local white. Overall the bill was 57E which to us is reasonable. We did book early that day and it was necessary. Service was good.

Being an Indian, I couldn't miss visiting an Asian restaurant. I had to admit it, the rates were little expensive and I did not like the tastes either but this place is quite popular with the locals as they love to taste different food.

if you want a great sushi in Udine you have no choice, Tokio is the place to be. Always great selection of fresh fish, nice tempura and cooked dishes. a must is the "spicy shrimp tempura roll" and the "tokio roll". the wine selection is also nice, with local withe wines.the number of seats is limited, so place a call and book your table in advance. The only real con is that the place is small and sometime this is leading to a bit of noise.the sushi bar offers also the "take away" option.

Located in a welcoming building in the historic center, the Hostaria alla Tavernetta offers a familiar atmosphere. Here Roberto Romano, his wife Giuliana Petris and his sun Matteo Romano, joined in the kitchen by the chef Eddi Riotto, manage with enthusia
Excellent food mixing local tradition with a contemporary twist. Very lively atmosphere and knowledgeable food managers will help build the best menu for you! Wine list is also top: let them guide you through the best tasting experience. Highly recommended!

Cosy, elegant, but not fussy, not noisy; very friendly staff, fresh fish, tasty meat, good selection of wines! Can see here a variety of clientele: business people, families with grown up children, couples... I have eaten here at least 5 times, and can say that never left a piece on my plate. From a variety of starters to a selection of desserts - everything was tasty and had some very special details that are unconventional. To give you an example, try their appetizer "millefeuille with fois gras and berries"..... Nice? Worth trying!)

We followed TA review and were quite happy with our experience here. The place was nicely decorated with a small canal passing by at the back. It was a bit difficult to find as the sign was rather discreet but the GPS address was correct. Staff was very helpful and spoke some English. My husband had a suckling pig and it was too much we had to take a doggy bag! I had a tuna steak which was too big to finish. It was nicely prepared. We were early (around noon) and by the time we left the place was rather full, primarily occupied by locals. A good sign. There were also tables to sit outside along the pavement. The restaurant also sells some local speciality and wine. If you are in town, it is worth a try.Thank you !! Very kind of you, thanks !Best regardMassimo & Silvia

We went there with friends to celebrate my birthday. We felt really welcome and the service was very nice. We took a 10-dish menu and a vegetarian friend could select a different menu (although on the list it is understandably asked that the whole table has to select the same menu if it is a tasting menu - actually I think they prepared a couple of dishes more for our vegetarian friends so she did not have to wait too much as her menu had less dishes than ours) Most importantly, all dishes were truly remarkable. Very creative and original while respecting the tradition, and with very good products. We were really thrilled and loved every minute of our lunch! Of course, it is not cheap, but it's really worth it! We'll definitely be back!
