We had something off the lunch menu. I was impressed with price and quality of the food. Quiet and cozy for a meal with husband on the lunch break. Will defintely be back.

This place looks like a dump that closed years ago but donât be fooled. The food is great! Definitely a hidden gem. Order at the counter and no seating so you have to get the food to go. They have large portions for the price. Open Tues-Sat 10-6. I travel to Troy on business and saw a co-worker eating steamed shrimp that smelled wonderful. When I first went there I almost drove by it thinking it was closed. I am glad I went in and tried it. Last week I fed my whole team of 12 from this place and they loved it. The shrimp is $9.99 for a pound with a side of corn on cob or new potatoes. For $10.99 you get 3 large fried flounder fillets with choice of 2 sides. Sides include fried okra, French fries and some others. I have eaten there 4 times now and it is sooo good. I have here on business about 80 nights this year eating out every meal and I am so glad I found this place. If you want atmosphere and waiters and high prices go somewhere else. If you are hungry, give it a try.

I love Captain D's Restaurant but not this location. We went on a weekend trip to Troy and decided to eat at Captain D's about 3:30 pm Saturday afternoon. There was no one in line and so we waited at the counter to order. The employees were talking to themselves and some were waiting on drive through customers. no one acknowledged that we were there. This went on for a total of ten minutes. Finally we gave up and ate at another Troy Restaurant. I will never go to this location again there are many other good restaurants in the Troy area.
