I don't know what's going on with greek restaurants/ bars in Kefalonia. Happened again so, this time I'll let a review. Who knows they can start to realise how non sense this isI'm vegetarian. Many times we don't have proper options compared with non-vegetarian offers. So, if you want a toast or a sandwich but the options have chicken turkey ham... and you ask if it's possible to make without it exchanging for something else (which could be just a leaf of lettuce&tomato, INSTEAD the piece of meat!!) and they always, I mean ALWAYS, say "NO". So, in the end, they always prefer to not please a client (WITHOUT losing money, because, c'mon! you'll never lose money if you switch a piece of turkey for some tomato and a leaf of lettuce!), but they never, ever, do it. And here, today I could have a plus, an arrogant waitress. So, to sum it up, they want you to pay the same amount of money for a sandwich/ toast with a slice of cheese inside when another person not being vegetarian will pay the same for something so much better. it's just ridiculous and unfair. I never experienced something like this in other parts of the world, never! I've been living in Greece for many months, in Kefalonia since March and I simply don't get it. Maybe I never will, and to be honest, I hope I won't. In a business of mine, I would never do such a thing to a client.

A late afternoon on the beach preceeded a first visit here. Lovely setting restaurant full. Pork Souvlaki and stuffed peppers were eaten with gusto. A pleasing satisfying meal. I would nt make a apecial trip here a car is needed but if on the beach a visit is recommended.

We have visited this restauarant on a number of occassions ans it is very popular.and if possible it is advisable to book, particularly at weekends. A bit off the beaten track, it has a superb location overlooking Avithos Beach. The food is traditional Greek fayre but very good size portions. Friendly staff.

After a swim we left the beach feeling extremely ravenous. The taverna is small, no frills and rustic, offering a small menu list, of Greek cuisine. The service was immediate, a full explanation of what and how itâs cooked was given. Oven hot, not microwaved. What came out of that kitchen was exquisite. Our party enjoyed every mouthful and we all highly recommend you eat there. Not a vast choice but when food is cooked this well, a big menu is not needed. We will definitely go again.

We have eaten here before on previous visits to Kefalonia, and the Blue Sea once again met our expectations. In the past weve tried a few other Tavenas in Lourdata, and this is probably one of the best we know on this stretch of beach. The food was excellent, and the service was friendly. There is a good range to chose from on the menu, to suit all tastes. We enjoyed our dinner here, and the after-dinner view of the full moon. We will return next year.

Thought this may be different to all the other restaurants in Lourdas, but unfortunately this was not the case. Vastly overpriced for very average fare. Fish tasted as if from frozen. Indifferent service with staff not over eager to please. At 60euro we felt very over charged and were let down. Will not be returning & do not recommend.

Went here after relaxing session on the beach. Itâs a pretty restaurant with sea views offering cocktails, bar menu and main menu great selection. Made friends with Max one if the resident dogs. The staff are lovely and so is the owner, lovely lady with three dogs! My food was authentic and tasty. Chilled here for a few hours having cocktails and drinking in the view.

Authentic greek food and fresh seafood.
This taverna is right on the beach, with their own sunbeds and can provide everything you need for a relaxing day by the sea.Good selection of lunchtime snacks and cold drinks all prepared to a high standard and evening meals are very good too, especially the cheesecake and reasonably priced. The staff are always efficient and friendly even when the taverna is busy and nothing is too much trouble.

Opening 1st of MAy...
Restaurant is beautiful and looks like it should be amazing. Sadly the service was shocking and the food wasnât great, gristly steaks and bland food. Beef stew was lovely but that was the only redemption. Bill was placed on the table even before we were even offered dessert menus.

Set with a gorgeous view over the village and mountains, this little family friendly restaurant offers amazing traditional food, at a reasonable price, with a beautiful balcony and terrace. My personal favourites were the Souvlaki, Kefalonian Meat Pie, and Stifado, however leave some room for dessert, as they are too worthy of a bite or two!! All in all a lovely family run restaurant, we ate here multiple times during our stay and will return should we return to kefalonia
