Our tour guide changed our plans for a lunch with 25 of our wedding party friends and family from the USA and the choice she made for Restaurante San Miguel couldn't have been a better! The food was plentiful and prepared perfectly, the views, amazing, the wine, top shelf. The service for our party of 25 was spot on, attentive, accommodating and 1st class. Try the bacalau, it is amazing! This is a must on your visit to Ribadeo, Spain!

Hubby and I came here for our celebratory dinner. We were given a menu in English thankfully as it’s quite complex! The portions are huge, one starter between us would have been more than enough! Hubby had fois gras toasts with air dried beef - delicious. I had the fried king prawns with potatoes. I just ate the prawns, it was all too much with mountains of potatoes. Hubby’s main course was beef ‘chop’ almost a kilogram of beef, beautifully tender and tasty - he had to send it back for a little more cooking, but this was done quickly and courteously. I had the duck, again, a huge portion and served very pink - but I like it like that! Sadly, I just couldn’t manage it all.The bill came and I was a little disappointed to see that we had been charged for the bread that was served on arrival, and the tap water we asked for had also been charged - it may have been mineral water though! The waiter had been lovely and helpful throughout! There was also a 10% service charge added! I like to choose whether I tip, so never happy with this practice. So not a 5 rating, but almost!Dear Stirlimg;Thank you for your comment, and for the positive opinion of our work.I wanted to clarify, if you allow me, the tip.towards the end of the invoice, a summary is made of the part that belongs to the restaurant, and the 10% that is paid as a tax to the state. That 10% is already included in the prices and is not added again, it is only informative so that the client knows exactly the amount of the tax.If you did not leave coins in the account tray, there was no tip for the waiter, but we are happy because you enjoyed the dinner.thank you very much again :))

The salpicon is out of this world and we alternate between the deliciously fresh fish and outstanding steaks. It has a beautiful view of the harbour and the service is top class. Can't wait for the summer!

Restaurante La Marina

We were recommended to try this restaurant by our accommodation in Tapia, but also by another hotelier about an hours drive away where we had spent the previous night. We were not disappointed. The restaurant was clean and is typically Spanish. The staff were very attentive and very friendly. The food was delicious and comparable to prices elsewhere in Northern Spain. We asked what something was that locals were eating on the bar, and were promptly included in the tasting! We were made to feel very welcome. Also, we'd been reviewing some pics on my camera and had left it on the table. The waiter politely interrupted our dinner to call us outside and view the sun setting over the port. It was absolutely beautiful, and as we were only in Tapia for 1 night, much appreciated!

Meson El Pilon

Restaurante marinero en el puerto de Tapia de Casariego (Asturias). Pescados y mariscos, además de las mejores carnes .

Some friends recommended it and we weren't deceived. The waiter was very friendly and knew what he was doing. Went in the weekend and was necessary to book and go for a walk. Had various plates which were well cooked and tasty. The homemade rice with milk was very nice. Also the tarta de abuela was good. Boquerones are worth it.
