Stopped in here for a quick lunch and was not disappointed. Had the Lobster BLT and was the best sandwich I have had in a long time. Served with chips and drinks out of the cooler. Service was friendly. Limited seating inside, but plenty outside. Place was clean. I would return.

The Cockatoo is CLOSED. It has been replaced by the Aragosta at Goose Cove. The restaurant has been redecorated and brightened up. The Aragosta is FAR superior to the Cockatoo. The service is also vastly improved! Try the Aragosta. You will like itDear DavidandGee ,Thank you for your comment ! This building has been without a restaurant for a couple years. Great to find the new owner and staff. We had a pasta seafood special and crab cakes. Excellent preparation, and good cocktails. Interesting menu all around. Attentive staff and nice ambiance. We will return every year.

We drove from Bar Harbor to Stonington to visit this quaint fishing seaport. Since it was near lunchtime we decided to eat at the Stonington Kitchen. We entered through the grocery store but you can also enter from the rear outside dining area. You place your order at the order counter and they give you a number. You go pick your seat. We chose to sit outside on the deck overlooking the seaport. We ordered Clam Chowder which was delicious and the colossal lobster roll. It was huge and chuck full of yummy Lobstah. After eating you go inside and pay at the kiosk. Good food fast service is what you can expect here. You will be rewarded with a great view as well.

We have been coming to this building for one or another restaurant for about 10 years. The new business/chef is very interesting and we enjoyed our food--lobster grilled cheese, scallops, and local greens. The martini and old fashioned helped....Very good food on the harbor in Stonington. Nice staff and ambience. Oh yes, we ate at the bar and had fun. Unfortunately, seasonal/not open all year.

Charming little eatery in the town that thrives on fishing and lobstering. The food you eat was recently harvested. We had the haddock chowder...delicious and loaded with fish, and the haddock sandwich...a full filet on a bun. Both were excellent and modestly priced. Great view of the harbor from some tables. Service is good and the place is nice inside.
