Ate lunch here on a Saturday. What we liked:1. Friendly, solicitous service from start to finish2. Impeccable food, beautifully garnished, fresh and a delight to the eyes and palate. We ordered two Bento boxes, and they were so lovely: crunchy, light tempura; fresh, flavorful sushi, perfectly done white rice, and a bunch of other things for which I don't have a Japanese name. It was all DELICIOUS.3. Lovely interior. Quiet, low lights, clean and nicely appointed.4. Price was not too high--about what you'd expect. For two lunches and one mixed bar drink the bill came to $30 before tax. What we didn't like:1. Ladies' room was clean but the towel rack was empty.
This Sushi / Hibachi restaurant is located in Southern MD on the water were the Patuxent River meet the Chesapeake Bay. This place has only been open since Sept 2017. This restaurant is not very big so when summer kicks in expect to wait. But if you love being around the water you won't mind the wait. You can take a stroll around Solomon's Island while you wait. Just a small town on the water! I didn't have Sushi this time around but instead opt for the Chicken and Shrimp Hibachi with grilled veggies. The meal was very good and plentiful. I will definitely return.

Captain Smith's Seafood has had a long tradition of providing quality seafood in the Solomons. In early 2015 Chris and Dawn Bowen purchased the business and are working hard to continue that tradition, as well as making efforts to improve and expand the b
Steamed Crabs are a must eat in southern Maryland and Captain Smith's offerings are consistently excellent. The crabs are seasoned to taste and are always meaty~definitely worth the price (which are within the market rate). They also offer daily specials, as well as, fresh and frozen options if would like to cook them yourself!

On a free evening we opted to stop here for dinner. Food wise that was a very good choice. The place is very casual and not fancy at all. The food however was really good and the service as friendly and good. It is on the water with views. I would for sure recommend this for breakfast, lunch or a casual dinner.

Ordered fish and chips. Expected flakey, fried filets. Served pre-formed rectangular thin fish patties. Think of the "filet" of fish sandwich from McDonalds--- these patties were larger but tasted the same.If a restaurant is going make this kind of substitution with their fish and chips, it makes one wonder about other meals they offer. Will you receive what is described on the menu?

Evan the grandkids liked our dinner at Kingfishers! They had a gentleman playing guitar and singing without overwhelming the room with volume. Wanted to sing along with him! Food was great. Had seared ahi for appetizer and it was good and plentiful. Between the five of us we had a variety of food and all said it was very good. Grandkids loved the shrimp and fries. Just wanted to give two thumbs up to this restaurant.

The service was excellent. The food was delicious. My husband, daughter and I all enjoyed our food. Hubby ordered the lasagna, daughter ordered the burger and I ordered the crab dip. The drinks were very good. We would definitely dine here again. The view from the outdoor seating was nice. We will be dining here again.

Charles Street Brasserie offers a unique waterfront dining experience, fusion of Mediterranean and Southern Maryland tapas and shared plates and catering services to the Solomons, MD area.
We really enjoyed the food here, as the tapas concept works well for trying out all of the great dishes offered on the menu. Our waitress's recommendations were spot on and we enjoyed everything. I'd definitely recommend the seafood items, they know what they are doing here. The one strange thing was the cocktails we ordered, as both seemed watered down or missing alcohol, so don't bother, the wine will definitely suffice and you can still enjoy the perfect ambiance and food.

The Dry Dock, is located in Solomons Island at the Zahniser's Yachting Center. Expect an intimate water view restaurant that caters to an upscale dining experience, specializing in steaks & seafood. We offer deck seating, weather permitting. Nightly speci
Had not so good experiences in the past. They seemed to depend on the waterfront location over the food or service. Was apprehensive about returning, but under new management, they've improved on all accounts. Creative menu options, well prepared. Small wine list but with good values. Note: $15 corkage option. Our server, Amanda, was outstanding. Professional, friendly, thoughtful, and engaging. She made us feel well cared for. Improvements to bar stools, lighting, outdoor tables, etc.

Beautiful Waterfront Restaurant, with great Quality Food and Drinks!
Stopped in for lunch. I ordered a fried oyster basket and my boyfriend ordered the grouper fingers. Both platters were very good. Our waitress was friendly and efficient. We loved looking out at the water while we ate. My only criticism is I think their price for beer is on the high side. I think $6.50 for a glass of Blue Moon draft is overpriced. Would definitely have lunch here again but we'll pass on the beer.
