Harbourside restaurants serve fish fresh off the boats. If you’re used to Caribbean beaches, this will take some getting used to, but we bet Skagen’s craggy charms will win you over.

Visiting Grenen - northernmost tip of Denmark - on a sunny day, we decided to have lunch at this first-floor restaurant because we wanted to enjoy the all-around view from up there while getting away from the crowds of tourists. The view was indeed stupendous! From the limited lunch menu, which is served from 11.30 am to 4.30 pm, we chose the smoked salmon. It turned out to be a light green salad with tomato and apple and some shredded smoked salmon, served with fresh bread. Ideal for a light lunch, but not really an option is you are ravenous. De 2 Have is rather expensive but we didnât regret our choice. The place has a luxury feel and service was stylish.

The nicest thing about this resturant was the service! The food portions were huge but totally tasteless! I had lobster soup which tasted like tomato soup, the fish fillets were all coating and had no flavor! The decor is old fashioned and it's certainly not worth another visit!

Another restaurant centrally located among the other similar once. Food is just not good and prepared for big groups- so it in advance. You can see ready plates waiting for being heated up. That is a pity that they can't take an advantage from location almost inside fishing port. The advantage is very nice girl at the bar.

We visited for lunch and dinner in the Brasserie.Taste and preparation really fantastic and great to eat at a place where taste is not compromised with the sometime very stringent and ascetic approach that some Danish restaurants bias towards.Creamy, buttery and fresh. If they still have chanterelles then try the toast and good luck trying to lure out where they are hunting them.A fair wine card.Great and friendly service who really seemed to enjoy their work. Our first choice of eating in Skagen in spite of the trendy location.

I must be the only person who thinks basically ALL of Scandinavian restaurants & bars are WAY over-priced and under-serviced. It's really hard to find a place that's half-decent in Scandinavia, especially in Denmark. And forget about value. Does not exist. This place is no different. 3 leaves of lettuce for a 20-dollar appetizer doesn't cut it. Waiting 1 hour for the main course thereafter doesn't cut it. Being greeted in an empty restaurant and being summarily told there's no space except outside where it's also empty doesn't cut it. There shouldn't be a 1-hour wait between appetizer and main course, especially when the restaurant is empty. Also, 3 leaves of lettuce don't cost that much to serve. In a parallel universe I'm sure this place was good.

We arrived in Skagen by sailboat, looking forward to revisiting the places we had enjoyed several years ago. We tried this harbourside restaurant for dinner. One of us had fish and chips. Firstly, just served warm and the fish was certainly not a fresh filet but reassemble fish sticks from the freezer section. Fries were barely warm. 98kr and disappointing. The beef burger for another was average at best. The mixed platters of shrimp and shrimp salad and pancake with shrimp were fine but did not blow the other two diners away. Service was okay. I would not go back as I expected great seafood and I get better at home.

I had dinner here in the upstairs restaurant on a Monday evening in July. Great atmosphere and good menu choice. Food was very good - I had oysters and half a lobster. Service started as being very good but deteriorated by the time I got to desert as most of the staff had disappeared and I had to wait a long time for the final course and for the bill. Very busy and making a reservation in advance seems to be essential if you want the main restaurant.

Picture of the regular stjerneskud. Food was fine/average/good. We all had fish because we were in Skagen. Though from hearing the customers talk, I think it would have been better to order the dish of the day even though it might not be seafood. Apparently, the locals come for the dish of the day which changes every day, but is cheap and cheerful. The place is self serve, and good for kids as plenty of space, they can sit by the window and look at the boats and the place is very down to earth. (There are outdoor seats too) Oh and it is a MC friendly place which excited my husband. Prices are good. Paid 375,- for 2 mains, 1 kids main and 4 non alcoholic drinks for 2 adults, 1 kid and 1 toddler.

We had a delicious taster menu in this beautiful restaurant. The dishes were skillfully presented and had a wonderful blend of flavours. The portions were more substantial than for any other taster menu we've had back home! The waiting staff are attentive (not obtrusive) and very friendly (brilliant command of English - I'm ashamed!) I would highly recommend this restaurant (and Skagen is beautiful!)
