Fantastic place to have lunch after a morning at the beach! It has a great fried cuttlefish (typical from Setúbal), clams with garlic and coriander (bulhão pato) are excellent served with toasted bread and butter, also must try the octopus salad, all well done and very tasty. Service is good, despite the crowd. Yes, it can be windy, some mosquitoes, spiders and other small animals may join you, but you in a dune close to the beach so thatâs expectable. I will for sure return!

Having lunch looking at the sea in a summer day is a blessing and in this restaurant we can have that. We can also have great food and a great sevice. Realmente, a vista conjugada com a refeição deliciosa e o atendimento super simpático do nosso empregado faz valer a pena a visita!

Taken there by local business colleagues for lunch. Great setting and was told to have local Black pork. I would have preferred the fish but it was good. Locals drink small bottled beer but more of them. Reason is they stay cold better or maybe they don't stay long enough.Busy and cheap well worth it!

Or you can also find it under BAR DOCA PESCA.I was up at the Sines Castle (Sep.9) taking pictures at the city below and notice a large flock of seagulls in the harbor. I knew than means fresh fish.I followed the seagulls in the harbor and got right on the fish dock. Boats were bringing fish on the shore and loading the truck with large crates of fresh fish. I smelled grilled fish and looked across the road of the loading area, there was small place that looked like a restaurant, no sign, no name on the building, just a small place with about 10-12 tables inside. All packed with locals.I got in and asked the girl serving, her name was Zuza, if they would serve me too. She said sure, find a place. After a few minutes of waiting I eventually got a table, a couple just left and she cleaned it up for me fast. Surprisingly for that place where tourists don't easily reach she spoke very good English. They had no menu or A La carte. The fresh fish was right there on ice at the entrance on a huge metal table, just like in the fish markets. She said go pick the fish and we'll grill it for you. This was a new experience for me. I picked sardines, fresh from the boat! The man at the grill got to them right away!Should I say these were the best sardines I have ever had? No need. see my pictures, they will speak for themselves! You can see Zuza in the picture, great girl! She came to check on me, the only tourist in the house and asked me if I want more fish! Kidding me? look how much for for only 11 euros!!If you go to Sines you must go there for lunch, not sure if they are open for diner. It is a simple restaurant, not fancy but clean. And the fish is the morning catch! If you have trouble find the place just go up to the Castle and look bellow, the seagulls will lead you to it. It is in the old fishermen's harbor. Two thumbs up for Zuza and the Delicia Da Doca Restaurant! It was a great experience and a delicious meal! Go for it if you are in Sines!

As many restaurants located in Sines, in Restinguinha one will find a very good quality fresh fish assortment. However, rather than recomend the traditional "grilled fish with boiled potatoes and vegetables" dish, I would prefer the monkfish rice which is, for me, one of the best you can have in Portugal... Apart from this they also serve a very juicy home style swordfish which is a delight. For the meat lovers... Sorry but I never ate meat in this restaurant but I am sure it might be as good as the fish. The desserts are also home made, meaning that it is a feast of sweet flavours one cannot miss.Do not expect an exquisite service or a very fancy atmosphere but there are places in the sun-deck where one can enjoy a magnificent view of Sines bay!

The place is not fancy at all but the food makes it a 5* option when you visit Sines. If you come by boat like me, it is quite close to the harbor and it's easy to find.It seems that in summer times it has always queues but if you wait 30 minutes they find you a table...The seafood is great, like the fish...The barnacles are very fresh and taste to the ocean! The fish is also very good...At the end, the bill is quite reasonable for a seafood/fish dinner.

Through advice from friends we visited this newly opened restaurant in Sines. It is small and cozy with a true Portuguese atmosphere. The menu is compact but offers choices for meat and fish. I ordered one of there specialties the Fish Skewer, see picture. In one word, Delicious! They were accompanied with there home made potato chips, excellent. Service was great and efficient although it was very busy that night.

Arte e Sal is a well-deserved restaurant that enjoys the happy combination of an experienced kitchen, a privileged environment and a level of service that only an experienced host knows how to provide. But it is mainly the excellent fish of the coast that
The restaurant we wanted to go was full so we came to this one. The clams were good and so was the "Massada de peixe" (a kind of soup with pasta and fish), our friends had sardines and also enjoyed them. The service is a little bit slow, but kind and friendly.

There is no doubt that the fish served here is high quality however that is not enough to become a top restaurant! Service is poor: slow and not attentive.Reservations are not possible: the least the restaurant does, is to write down your name in a waiting list...The variety of fish depends on the availability of the fish in the fish market right in front - which is acceptable - however there is just one single way to cook it: grilled!Desserts are just regular. Considering everything - food, service, availability and location - the price is a slightly above average.

To eat this amazing dish I would go back immediately. Amazingly tasty, it is worth to go.Service was slow, but the wait was more than worthy.A very nice place, very well decorated, the building was an old train station.Definitely recommended.
