The restaurant is located in the middle of a fabolous landscape sorrounded by the bay of Santiago de Cuba.It is the ideal restaurant where you can scape the heat of the city and have a delicious lunch/dinner in a breezy, quiet and beautiful place.
There's really not a lot to say that would make a difference in whether or not you will eat in this resturant. If you are staying in a boat in the marina, you will most definately frequent the place. If not, you would never find yourself making the 20 minute taxi trip from Santiago Centro just to eat there. That said, the staff is friendly and helpful. The beer is cold and the food is good to the extent that ingredients are available.

This is a new restaurant right down the road from the Club Amigo Carisol los Carales. We were there when it was first being built. the owners 1 Cuban the other Canadian. They are mixing it up with a mixture of Cuban and Canadian food. They are great people We didn't eat there as things were not up and running too much but did sit and had a couple of beers with the owners also one of our friends helped to spread the soil around and cement some bricks for the kitchen.Anyway give them a try then put a report of your own on here People are waiting to hear about it. If you want to see pictures go on their site on facebook

We stopped here for lunch after spending the morning touring Santiago de Cuba. The restaurant is located on a terrace with views over the city. Our service was excellent. We had orders of grilled lobster and fish. The lobster tail was three times the size I would normally receive in the States and the cost was $15 which included a salad and banana chips. Definitely recommend.

An unforgettable dining experience that smolders, simmers and delivers the true essence of Santiago de Cuba captivating aromas spill from a BBQ spit of tender smoked cuts of pork, seared and drizzled chicken, and salted fish plated in traditional Cuban fa
Brassa is located inside a hotel. Its a little upscale, very good food--not overcooked-- and good service for our group of 11. A trio played Cuban folk music, maybe revolutionary?. If you know Spanish you will understand more of it than I did--the musicians were good. On a hot day, it was cool inside, restrooms nearby in hotel lobby. We walked around the town square before and after lunch, so it was a very pleasant stop on our tour.

We met a Cuban on the street who suggested we go here and we really enjoyed it! You have a great view of the bay and surrounding area, but after we were there about an hour, an amazing tropical storm blew in and raged for about 2 hours... we had a great view of the lightening and couldn't leave due to the torrential rain! The waiters had to pull the side tarpaulin down. I imagine it would be a great place to have seen a lovely sunset? Several (strong) mojitos later, the storm had blown away! We had 2 different shrimp dishes - both excellent and marvelled at the electric storm!

In addition to being a very picturesque place, this restaurant served up one of the better lunches I had in Cuba. From the fish fritters to the dessert, the food was fresh, hot, and well seasoned. There were several choices, but among my group we liked the shrimp the best, as well as a local specialty that was a fish filet topped with shrimp and cheese. Really tasty, and the fresh air and views added to the enjoyment.

We were visiting Santiago for a day via a cruise. We took a ship-based tour which stopped here for a pre-organised lunch. To be honest, cruise excursion choices aren't always the best - but this restaurant has proved to be the exception. The quality and the variety of food was remarkable - considering the volume of people arriving at one time, the kitchen did an amazing job. We had a starter salad selection, followed by meat/fish selections accompanied by rice, banana chips, and even a delicious dessert. The wait staff and owner were all exceptionally friendly, and we left thoroughly impressed. Highly recommended

I was a little apprehensive about service when I saw huge groups following us in to this outwardly unobtrusive restaurant. Thankfully the staff coped with us (8) and groups of twenty or so. They showed real teamwork and we never felt like we were lost in the crowd. This was a birthday meal for an 11 year old. His 5 year old cousin was also with us and they were really happy with the food. Without warning a vegan âvappetizerâ arrived for vegan boy which was a nice surprise. Most of our party had shrimp and other dead stuff but I happily had the sides and salads and very cold Cristal cervezas. They sat us on the second floor which was half open to the night sky. There was a singer and guitar player for atmosphere and entertainment and they were very nice. The singer passed by our table and sang happy birthday when I asked her and one other song. Her name was Yuni Infante and I bought her disc but it doesnât seem to work here at home. Too bad. Great experience, super location, family friendly and very good staff and service. Coincidentally, although I was the only âCringoâ (Canadian version of Gringo) in the group I met some Canadian friends there and my GF and I stayed until closing having some lovely libations. You cannot go wrong here.

Dinner in Thoms and Yadira's has been one of the best experiences in our whole trip to Cuba and certainly the best thing that happened to us in Santiago. We came encouraged by recommendations of eating good lobster and it occurred that everything was delicious. Those of us who ordered a sea food soup were almost full and it was just the beginning. If you enjoy cooking you can try live cooking, where you are given a chance to prepare your own food at this lovely balcony. That is great fun and amazing experience. If I were to list everything I like while my visit, I'd run out of space. I can only encourage you to try what amazing place has been created by Thoms&Yadira and their crew. It was a great pleasure to be your guests!
