Called "The Skipper," this popular restaurant specializes in seafood dishes of all things. We are glad we had reservations for a Sunday evening in off season (for tourists) because this place is obviously frequented by locals. We had octopus salad and grilled vegetables as appetizers,spaghetti with seafood and risotto with seafood for main dishes. With house wine and sparkling water, the bill came to a very reasonable 55 euros. Service was friendly.

We went here for the second night running as we were so impressed with the food on the first night. We were not disappointed. Food absolutely great. As was the service. A must for anyone that likes great Tuscan food and flavours. Also great value for my money.

I had a see food plate and a mixed salad. The portions where good and the flavour perfect. My husband orderer raviolis and they where delicious! There is a big parking area wich is very confortable.Grazie mille di tutto...apprezziamo tantissimo....saluti

If you have time for a leisurely drive into the hills near Lucca for a Sunday brunch, this is the reflect place. We enjoyed an excellent meal over several hours, as Matteo took care of our every need. Excellent service, excellent food.I'd return anytime I'm in the area.

Desperation drove us to stop for lunch during the long drive from Florence to Genoa. Seemed like a chips with everything place with strange décor in the middle of nowhere. Still it satisfied our craving for food before we journeyed on. At euro92.50 for seven people, it was not the cheapest lunch we had on our tour, nor the best. The cover charge was 2.50 a head so that turned out to be about 20% of the bill.

I have had multiple meals at the Gazebo. It is close to Lucca and nestled in an antique villa surrounded by beautiful, well kept gardens with a stream and a pool. The menu is always top-notch and service is in keeping with its 5-star status. It is the perfect place for a wedding or special dinner.

We visited it for lunch on a sunday. The restaurant is part of a small country hotel (agriturismo) few kilometers from Pisa and Lucca. Our choice was for meat. We had tagliata, perfectly cooked and prepared, and chianina tartar prepared in three different styles.Pasta was also very well prepared. The "pappa al pomodoro tortelli" ( a closed pasta with a tomato inside) were not only original but also very delicate yet tasty. Service was fast and waiters were adequate. Price was about 40 to 45 euros per person. We will return and we will suggest it to friends

We enjoyed the food so much that we went back both nights during our stay in Pisa. The service was great, friendly & helpful. Our local hosts recommended this restaurant to us & it didn't disappoint. The outside courtyard was very pleasant & was matched by the fine seafood & pasta. If you are staying in Pisa you must come here.

Speciality of the Day Tuna, offered ouside the set menu, grilled or baked with breadcrums sounded attractive, specially when I asked what Tuna is was, Yellow Fin.Great, 3 orders please all grilled, that`s where the disappointment kicked in, 3 times so overcooked with nothing Pink or reddish left, just a grey dry texture, a faillure from the kicthen, far to long in de pan, pff a beginners mistake,Reclamation to the waiter, let to NO result, just the short answer, you need to talk to the manager, that`s it.The ambiance of the place made some good, its has this historic atmosphere, so typical for Tuscany.If around again I will walk in for a coffee or so en leave the dinner thing.

La Querica was recommended by our hosts at Villa del Papa, since the owner of La Quercia is their brother. We went three times in four days and were never disappointed. The service was impeccable and the food was fresh, beautifully served and outstanding. We stopped late one night just to get wine and âMom I spilled the pot!â Decadent. It is a family owned business and they take pride in what they do. If you are traveling to Pisa or Lucca, go a little out of the way and be pleasantly surprised. The name says it all; gramaâs food. La buona cucina!
