So we were staying in the S Hotel next door and decided to visit for dinner. We literally walked just outside the hotel parking lot and the restaurant was next door. I had the Curried Mutton, my wife had the Jerk Platter, and my less than adventurous teenage daughter had the Pasta Alfredo. Each of them were so good! The Alfredo was the best I have ever tasted and I've visited Italy and Italian restaurants the world over. If you can make that dish taste great above everyone else, you know what you're doing and you are using great ingredients. We had desserts and a few drinks. The beer cocktails were wonderful also. In all, we had appetizers, meals, desserts and a few drinks each between my wife and I for a price less than at a US local chain restaurant. That was a great value in out opinion. Our waitress the first night was go great and soft-spoken. She was wonderful. Leonie took care of us the second night and did wonderful also! The whole staff was friendly but didn't bug you like you get at some stateside restaurants where they just want to "turn tables" quickly. Highly recommended from an experienced traveling family. Oh by the way, the TV there is one of the biggest I've ever seen and it must be 4K. Great for watching a must see game if you're there on travel. We will be back to S Hotel in the future and it can be guaranteed we will be visiting Mr. Usain Bolt's restaurant again!

An elegant and sophisticated 5-star, dining experience on the edge of the Caribbean Sea, specializing in an assortment of fine wines and fresh seafood, creatively prepared.
Booked a dinner here with appreciable nervousness as the prices looked pretentiously and ridiculously expensive ... and then had a most wonderful dinner ! We both ordered salad, followed by the rack of lamb with risotto - and relished every single mouthful.Best meal I've eaten out for several years anywhere, and best meal down south ever.

Pier 1 is Montego Bay's most pulsating open-air Seafood Restaurant, Bar and Entertainment Center that has been in operation since 1986. It is located on a picturesque peninsula in the heart of the bay allowing diners the perfect view for watching the crui
Visited pier1 recently, the location was beautiful, service was slow but whilst I was eating my meal a rat sat on my foot and ran through the restaurant and into the ocean! Very unsanitaryHello Beth,Pier one is a restaurant located on the seaside of downtown Montego bay. It is built on large boulders in he harbor. Over the 30 years plus we have been in operation we work very diligently at passing every health and safety inspection. As in every city, rodents can be an issue, which is why we have exterminators monthly. We are sorry that this has happened to you and we are doing everything to ensure it does not reoccur.Hope you visit again.
I have been to a lot of small shops and restaurants all around Jamaica, and this is the best one by far! The have an outdoor eating area with seating as well as room to stand if you so choose. They also have a bar/cafe right next to the food area with a wide variety of drinks and several tables as well as some Jamaican art for sale. They prepare all the food fresh, the place was very clean, prices were very cheap compared to other places, and every dish that I have tried there has been great! I can say from my first hand experience, there are a lot of cafes and restaurants in Jamaica that are not clean, the food is no where near fresh and they typically over charge for their food. Also, the cook and all of the workers were very courteous and helpful when I asked them questions about the best way to experience Jamaica for a tourist such as myself. The food was so good and the people were so nice, I ended up eating there 4 or 5 times during my 2 week stay. If you are looking for an authentic Jamaican place to eat at on the side of the road, Tusty Crab is a must!

So we initially dismissed this restaurant thing that it was actually on a boat and my wife gets motion sick in a rocking chair. The concierge at Round Hill hotel highly recommended this place and he was spot on. It is a quaint 2-story open air âhouse boatâ that is on the water but fixed in place (you have to take a little skiff about 20 feet from the shore to the âboatâ). The food was fabulous and the view was amazing (try booking a table for sunset-you wonât be disappointed. If you need a ride to/from wherever your staying, you need to contact the best driver in all Montego Bay. His name is Goofy (876-435-1370), but there is nothing âgoofyâ about Goofy. We used him our entire stay and he is a gentle giant that will make sure you get where you want to go and youâre safe the entire time. We visited a number of âlocalâ places and got nothing but great service.

The first time we went they had different types of small fish cooking (escoveitch) so we took what they had, short waiting time. On other occasions we chose our fish so had to wait a short while, bought some drinks and enjoyed the atmosphere while we waited. It's worth the wait, the escoveitch fish is fantastic, with sides of fried breadfruit, festival and bammy. Can't wait to go back, a great place to stop when driving from Montego Bay to Negril. The food and value deserves 5 stars but the washrooms etc. could be better, that's why only 4 stars, but I'm going there for the food.

Great place! Seating is both outside on a little stone patio overlooking the ocean, and inside if you prefer. Staff are very friendly and helpful, and the manager stopped by on both our visits to ensure everything was OK. One waiter in particular, Marlon, was awesome.Food was excellent but be sure to ask if your dish is spicy or not! We had the oxtail one day and it turned out it contained scotch bonnet peppers... phew, hot. Too hot. So ask before you order. The crawfish etouffee appetizer is finger licking good, as is the chicken satey. The red pea soup was very good too. For the main courses, we had oxtail ragout (watch the spice level!), grilled snapper (delicious), pork ragout (delicious), and one more dish I can't remember but which was great too.Dessert was bread pudding with ice cream which was very tasty. The meals are an excellent value, especially compared to the nearby Round Hill hotel restaurant... less than half of the cost, even if you count the cost for a taxi. Highly recommended. Delicious food, good service, and unbeatable prices.

This restaurant exceeded our expectations. Definitely a hidden gem. Very romantic, the tables are in little hut like cosy settings with laterns right by the ocean. All the food was amazing. We had salt fish fritters, then shrimp curry, Rasta pasta, red snapper fish and it was all amazing, truly couldnât fault it. The service was also very friendly.

Best known for our specialty - grilled lobster served with the "Secret" sauce. Fish, shrimp and chicken are also prepared. Open by reservations only.
If you want absolutely fresh, incredibly delicious spiny lobster served straight from the sea, this is the place. It is quaint, local family owned and operated restaurant. The tables overlook the sea right on the beach. You must reserve your lobster in advance so they have time to prepare. No credit cards but very reasonably priced. The meal includes soup, salad, lobster entree, sides and a desert. Start off with a wicked rum punch (must be Appleton's rum --- Ja's finest.) A must stop while in Mobay. Great for a romantic dinner but also kid friendly. Great service too.
