Things to do in San Pedro de Macoris
I was upset to find out that this restaurant is currently under construction since I booked at stay at the hotel with then intention of eating there. I feel that this should be disclosed on their website being that you hsve to be a guest in order to eat there. Security guard did not let people near it since itâs being repaired.
I recently visited San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic and found this brand new Pizzeria. Its an open place with nice views of the locals. Almost across the street from a beautiful beach called Guayacanes Beach. This is my first time having Brick Oven Pizza other than in NYC. The taste was pretty awesome and service was super fast. The pizza was actually done in 3 minutes, I saw the pizza chef make the pizza right in front of us because its an open bar and you can see them making the pizza as you order it. Its great!!! It was in and out of the oven in about 3 minutes. We even got to see the donkey delivering fresh wood for next day oven burning. Thats pretty awesome.

The food was fresh and the staff was nice. They did not speak any English. However, they have free wi-fi. I used my translator and enjoyed some wonderful seafood.

Very friendly staff. Well managed. Very good food at reasonable prices (not the best food in Guayacanes--Swiss Deli down the street is better with a world-class wine cellar, but Cococane has the best atmosphere). Fresh whole grilled fish is my favorite. French fries are a disappointment (obviously frozen) so order rice with your meal. Relax on the beach in a chaise under an umbrella and enjoy lunch on the patio or have it served to you on the beach. Spend all day, no extra charges. It's about a 45-minute drive from Santo Domingo, where we live, and it's our destination of choice for a quiet Saturday outing to the beach. Sunday is very crowded with the locals, so plan to arrive early in the day. Warning: the beaches along the south shore are nothing compared to what they are in the east or north, so just be aware that this is not a drop-dead number 10 tropical beach, but very nice none-the-less.
we have a very confortable and nice restaurant, food quality and taste combined with an excellent service is our priority. With a perfect view of Higuamo river join us and live this trip to the fullest
Es un Restaurant que se especializa en Mariscos, está ubicado a orillas del Rio Higuamo, tiene muchisimos años de existencia y la comida es buena.
I have visited this restaurant on a couple of instances and the staff and vibe are good. The restaurant's design is very original and it's located near "el Malecon" or "Sea View" which is the most visited place in town of San Pedro de Macoris. The reason for my 3 stars is because on my last visit, the food was not cooked properly. We order a regular grilled chicken breast with Tostones and the the chicken was not cooked to completely, it was a little raw. We had to return it to in order for them to cook it a bit more and then they burned it, but still was not cooked properly on the inside. Our tropical juices were also fermented with a strong sour taste. We were not able to drink all of it, but decided not to say anything. My wife ended up with a huge stomach pain for 1 day following that visit and on the 2nd day she had to be admitted to the ER in the same town. After analysis they detected she had Salmonella bacteria and it might have been from the under cooked chicken, the Salad or the fermented Juice. She ended up having to be prescribe with antibiotics and a strict diet for approximately 10 days. Again this was our 2nd visit to this restaurant. Based on this we can conclude that the service is good, the location is great, the restaurant's design is original with open spaces and it has great original unusual furniture. the food was very bad on our second visit and the drinks were extremely bad. The food and drinks were good for our first visit, so you judge.

I have been to this restaurant several times in the last six months. The food quality and service was good. This restaurant has menus in Spanish and English. This restaurant offers many choices. I have only eaten seafood at this restaurant so I cannot comment on chicken, beef, or other meals prepared by the chef. The seafood dishes have always been good.

Enjoy the Beach Club open to all public 365 days, beach, pool, sports, massage, DJ, organizing special events and an extraordinary gastronomy!
This restaurant is on the Bahia Principle resort but it is open to locals as well. The food is of high quality and tastes really good, it was a welcome break from hotel food down at the main resort. We had several choices off the menu, all were beautifully cooked to perfection. Soft drinks and beer were free if you stay at the resort, all other drinks are to be paid for. The facilities are fantastic and underused, for 10 USD you can get a great main course meal served in fantastic surroundings.Donât miss this place.
