We passed on eating here the night before, but were determined to visit San Luis Fish & BBQ before we left SLO. As we entered, we could see why the others may have hesitated about eating there, as it resembled a fish market more than a restaurant. And for us, that was the good news. My ordered the Cioppino while I went for the Halibut and Chips, a bowl of the Clam Chowder along with a beer apiece. It didnât take long for the food to arrive and thereâs not much more I can say about it except that it was fresh, expertly cooked and absolutely delicious, a fancy restaurant quality meal for the grand sum of $33.29.

Tucked away in the Trader Joe's parking lot off South Higuera, this family run Hawaiian place serves excellent lunches. The fish and chips, clam strips and chips, burgers, and wraps are always wonderful. Get there early, as the lunch rush fills up the place. It has a small patio out front for outdoor seating, possible on most days in sunny SLO town. Everything is freshly made, and the fish and chips are some of the best on the central coast. Prices are reasonable, snd the service is friendly. Skip the every changing place next door and check out this great little find in south SLO.

The term Mistura condenses the essence of Peru, a reflection of their people and the countryâs cuisine, a marvelous mix of cultures of invaluable heritage. Our Mistura is a modern Peruvian restaurant that is as dynamic as the country it celebrates and its
Very interesting and extensive menu. You wonât see anything like it anywhere. Peruvian is a blend of Asian, Spanish, Italian, etc. fusion. We were there with another couple. The portions are large! The four of us split the two Choclo empanadas - a just bite each, but very tasty. We split the De Mi Terra and La Pituca salads, also very tasty with a blend of flavors. Maybe the best of the three main dishes, the ladies split the lamb shank and still had some left over. I had the Senor Lomo, pieces of filet mignon in sort of a stew, and the other guy had the Pollo a la Brasa. Both very good, although the Lomo was a little saltier than I prefer. We brought our own wine, and just $10 corkage fee for each bottle. We definitely will be back!

We are a second generation restaurant family who grew up around fishing boats and a family Seafood Restaurant. Our decision to open a Seafood Grille and Oyster Bar in downtown San Luis Obispo, California was driven by a niche that no one had filled. In ad
We live in SLO and have eaten at Ciopinot for a decade. The food is consistently delicious, and the service reliably good. Recently they opened a seafood market inside the restaurant on Friday & Saturday afternoons. It has only been open for 3 weeks. We thought the seafood was so fresh that weâve returned all 3 weeks.
