San Juan might not be a tropical retreat, but this scenic scape proudly features beaches, orca pods and one of the country’s largest lavender farms. My husband and I ate at Downriggers in 2010, and we were so confused this year when we couldn't find it due to a devastating fire. Thanks to some internet searching, I discovered that Roadriggers is Downriggers' replacement, for now, at least. The food was delicious. I hope to be back when Downriggers rebuilds!

Once I sat down, it took the waitress 15 minutes to notice me. They have 10 tables and were only half full at 3 in the afternoon. The couple next to me got their water, silverware, and meal before me and while I was eating the kitchen staff starting yelling at each other and NO ONE did anything about it. #nevertoreturn.

Known for their fish and chips and a great burger with fresh-cut fries. Located right about the ferry parking lot. They also have a super omelette for breakfast that includes toast, sausage or bacon, and hash browns! Great value for the money!

A great place! We stopped in for an oyster snack and learned how to shuck oysters. Tried them chilled, herbed and grilled - and they were all great. We purchased some clams and grilling oysters and prepared them at home that evening. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and available to answer questions and provide shucking tutorials. The picnic area has an incredible view. It's not huge and that's great as a self limiting number of people can have a shared oyster experience. I would highly recommend stopping in if you're a shell fish afficionado. The thing I loved most was the T shirt with "muscle shirt" on it. Had it not been $30 I would have gladly bought one. A small thing and it certainly did not detract from our fish-tastic visit.

We treated ourselves to a sushi dinner and loved everything about it. We sat at the bar and got advice from the very friendly chef as to what we might like, specialty of the house etc. The food was excellent. We hope to return on our next special occasion.

An Island-Certified-Local restaurant with fresh products from local waters and fields, this classic dining option is a wonderful place to celebrate the best of Roche Harbor. If you can't decide from our sizable seasonal menu, you might settle on our house
Dinner for four was somewhat disappointing considering the top-drawer prices. Disasters included charred crisped burned to a crisp Brussels sprouts; ouch! The mushroom risotto was long on mushrooms (good!) but actually nothing that resembles risotto; it was rice, period. Lamb shank special was fine. For these prices, however, the food should be better and utterly reliable. Not hurrying back: better options with Downriggers and Coho in Friday Harbor. (If you are stuck in Roche Harbor, there are gourmet delicacies available in the marina grocery at surprisingly modest cost.)

Nice menu with variety of entrees, small plates, appetizers...Group of 4 ladies for dinner- all ordered different items. All very good! Beer on tap from local brewery~ really enjoyed the porter. Reasonable prices. They didnât give us any trouble about splitting entrees. Just a good place to go. I would go again if in the area.

Stop reading all the reviews, make a reservation NOW! My husband and I went here last night and I was blown away. Hands down one of the best meals and will come back to Friday Harbor just to dine here again. We did chef's choice with 5 courses and added an extra Kimchi Mussel. One of the beat steamed mussels and halibut dishes I've ever had. Halibut was well seasoned and tender. my husband got the pork loin as entree and was worth dying for. Ah, and the dessert with grilled peach was so unique and delicious!Thank you for your glowing review of your dinner at Coho Restaurant. Our culinary team works tirelessly to present the freshest quality ingredients in each and every dish sourcing from the land and sea around San Juan Island. The grilled peach with fresh fig, house made ricotta and local honey....ahhhh nothing says summer like that dessert. We would love to have you back. Next time, consider a stay at one of our two Inns, the Tucker House Inn and Harrison House Suites, part of the San Juan Island Inn Collection and you can start your day with a farm to table breakfast.
