Had a wonderful dinner in this gourmet Chinese seafood restaurant! Setting is beautiful and nicely decorated and quiet. We ordered house special lobster, fried with spicy garlic! Our favorite dish and the most expensive, at$26.00 per pound!!We started with soft shell crabs as an appetizer which were lightly battered and very fresh! The green beans were fixed to perfection and delicious! We also ordered squab, which came Hong Kong style, very succulent and moist!! $19.00 for two..The filet was excellent quality as well, but also very pricy!!Quantity was as expected for the price. We would return and expect to pay a premium for our meal! Wish they had a special or loss leader so there was some way to go back more often!!
We came to visit Lobster Bay (é¾è¦ç£) twice in the past month for lunch. This place was packed as usual with customers. Servers were extremely busy. Restaurant setting was decent and modest. We had Stir-fried Clams with Black bean sauce (é¼æ¤çè $10, excellent); Beef with oyster sauce (è æ²¹çè $8, classic); Stir-fried Shrimp Balls (æçè¦ç $10, tasty, worthy of calling it âhouse specialtyâ); Kung Pao Shrimp (å®®ä¿è¦ç $10, good, but not extraordinary. KPS was not a Cantonese specialty though); Beef Stew with turnip (è¿è çè © $8, juicy and soft, exceptional good). We enjoyed the lunch very much.
Traveling into town. Found site, within strip mall. Outside view was not easily visible from Street. The site has limited parking area. The site has simple design and simple menu. I ordered wings, curry chicken dish, crispy rice, mango sticky rice and thai tea and coffee. All foods prepared freshly on order, food quality and portion size was great. I would recommend crispy rice and sticky rice. I will return. The price are reasonable and worth the wait.
My first time visiting this restaurant which has been here for fifteen years per the waitress. On Saturday they offer lunch specials until 5:00.pm! The special includes hot & sour soup which was yummy. For entrees I ordered beef chow fun, shrimp with asparagus and clams & basil. Everything was delish and the portions were large enough for take home leftovers and we also received complimentary tapioca dessert which made for a happy ending. The service by all entire staff was solid and friendly.Another pro here is they accept credit cards unlike their competition across the street so I'm looking forward to returning here again.
Came in on a Sunday afternoon after 2:00 pm. It's been years since I dined here and parking was full but managed to find somebody that was leaving. We also lucked out because they serve dim sum until 3:00pm on weekends and offer lunch specials also.I noticed they didn't have the traditional dim sum carts probably due to the limited space. Since my brother was visiting my mother at my residence, I ordered two items of each and I didn't realize the deli next door sells the dim sum for 40 cents less per entree. As for the dim sum everything was delicious and as good as my regulrar go to places in Monterey Park. Driving here was less hassle to drive to and my favorite entrees were the har gow and the Chinese Tamale which is made of steamed sticky rice on the exterior and inside contain Chinese sausage, peanuts, egg and pork. - they are difficult to find and so yummy here and taste just the way my grandmother use to make them. The service here was exceptional and the waiters replaced my dirty plate several times and refilled the tea pot constantly. I was impressed overall with the quality, service and value here. I noticed many tables ordering deep fried pepper crab so I definitely have a reason to return here again!

The resto is typical chinese resto in ambience but the food is really good esp the lobster and the fried tofu! Cant help but eat them with white rice. The beef is also very good and tender. Highly recommended!

The difficulty of serving Dim Sum is the amount of pastime labor needed to make these little dishes in the morning that are consumed in a heart beat in one lunch setting, that is what I was told one time from one of the best Chinese restaurant in LA that served Dim Sum. There are rumors that some of the dim sum restaurants now just steam the frozen ones. This place seemed to still do it themselves but these are large portion, cheap price and not as delicate as some top notch dim sum restaurants around. They also offer Cantonese Styled foods from the kitchen both during lunch and dinner. They are alright but nothing to write home about. I have never tried their expensive dinner set courses that other friends have tried and said good things about. If you are interested to have a reserved room with better food from the kitchen, it does not hurt to investigate more.
