Reviews on Seafood food in Rotorua, North Island, New Zealand. Bubbling mineral springs and pools promise maximum relaxation in Rotorua, on New Zealand's North Island. Therapeutic hot mud pools, dramatic geysers and a buried village are within easy reach of the city. What happens in the bubbling mud geysers of "Rotovegas"—the area at the top of Fenton Street—stays in Rotovegas. Once you've made the most of the mud, soar nearly 2,000 feet on the Skyline Gondola for views of Lake Rotorua, then zip back down to explore the lake by paddle steamer, fishing charter or WWII amphibious vehicle.

If you are looking for a great Rotorua restaurant for all taste buds, ages and occasions, look no further, because even the fussiest of eaters will love Chapmanâs Buffet Restaurant. We are a favourite among the locals, serving up a delicious breakfast and
Chapman's Restaurant is a buffet with a nice selection to choose from. We found the salads, appetizers and desserts to be pretty good and the vegetables and main dishes to be underwhelming. On the plus side the oysters and muscles were very good. The carvings and other meats were very dried out and seemed bland to us. The variety at the dessert bar was excellent. We tried small bites of many desserts and really enjoyed them. (Normally we don't really care for dessert, but it was right there calling our names!)We were seated promptly without a reservation. We ordered a jug of water and by the time we returned from the buffet there was a large chilled jug and extra napkins. The service from the hostess to the waitress to the cashier were excellent. We felt the cost of $104.55 NZ might be a little high for the quality served, but we were happy enough with dinner and would probably return when we are looking for a meal with a great deal of variety.Hi JCseminoleWe appreciate you taking the time to provide a review of our Chapmans dinner buffet. I'm sorry that you found the mains lacking but was pleased to read that there was plenty of other options that you enjoyed. We look forward to welcoming you back.RegardsMaureen

Really fancied chinese and this did not disappoint. Plenty of choices on the menu. In fact two menus or prices anyway. One for larger portions to share among a group other for smaller portions for singles or couples. Waitress was very helpful and walked us through it and made recommendations to us. Food was great tasty and enough of a portion. Enjoyed everything.

We tried a package consist of fish, chicken nibbles, crab stick and chips, plus add-on oyster, it was good. The best is the oyster and fish, the fish was big and thick, all good, however the chicken nibbles was just average. All come at affordable price for reasonable portion for two person.
