In 2003, we opened Mama's on the Half Shell. Our opening day was the realization of five years of dreaming, discussing and collecting. As native "Baltimoreans," we felt Baltimore lacked a real seafood restaurant. Because of our love for the restaurant bus
Great happy hour. They crushed the crushes at happy hour prices. The standard shrimp evaporated as we ate them. I'll never clam up about the happy hour oysters. We snapped at the crab dip. Great place and will be back. Love the word usage, Steve! And the enthusiasm about how great your recent visit was with us at Mama's on the Half Shell. We could not be happier to read it, and cannot wait to see you again soon for more good times and great happy hour deals all around. Looking forward to it! Thanks again.

We are on a quest for the best Cream of Crab soup and nobody does it better. Everything on the menu is fantastic, from the scallops, oysters, crab cakes and anything else you wonât be disappointed. We live an hour and a half away and yet we stop in at the Narrows a few times a month. This trip we were happy to have Tina as our server and she is terrific! We will return in a couple of weeks to get our fix.

Tucked off Severn Street, you walk by bigger seafood restaurants, but youâll enjoy the more intimate feel of OâLearyâs. Reservation made through Resy for later on a Friday night. Place was full. Sat at bar for 15 minutes before table was ready, an easy wait with an attentive bar tender and interesting company. Lovely table for two with an amazing server (Kathryn). The seafood was incredible in a town known for seafood. Fresh Chesapeake oysters, Lobster Risotto (special), blackened Ahi and a dessert of coffee and butterscotch pudding. Just a great place with an elegant but low key crab town vibe. Easy walk from USNA or downtown. Appetizer, two entrees, coffee, dessert and 4 drinks with gratuity just over $200. Weâll be back. Definitely worth the wait and the $$$.

The Boatyard is where local sailors, fishermen and lovers of the Chesapeake enjoy pint drinks, great crab cakes and the freshest local seafood. Specialties include smoked fish of the day (on premise), cream of crab and Maryland crab soups and an extensive
We visited the Boatyard Bar and Grill about a week ago. The bar has happy hour specials ($1 oysters) and was crowded at the time, although we were able to find seats. The service is fine, beer selections good, and there was a nice atmosphere - everybody having a good time. We stayed for dinner (FYI, no reservations) and had their crabcake dinner. Market price was $34. The cakes had lots of fresh, flavorful crab and were so large, we brought two home with us and had them the next day. I would definitely recommend and return.

This is a legitimate seafood raw bar featuring oysters, steamed crabs and steamed shrimp. You can tell when you first walk in that this place is legitimate. The neighborhood appears safe and I had no problem finding street parking. I went for the 1/2 priced steamed shrimp on Mondays but they do not do that on a holiday. I had fried shrimp and it was delicious. The cocktail sauce was just like I make it at home.

This would have been a 5 star review but for a heavy handed rosemary seasoning to the veal saltimboca.Apps were delicious, perfectly grilled calamari on arugula and a shared antipasto platter.Entrees matched as well ex. for the veal....good but overpowered by rosemary. Vongole linguine, halibut and an unique pasta with broccolini and tortellini with mushroom, shallots speck and parmesan sauce all were excellent. Portions sized perfectly; service very helpful and accommodating for any changes requested. Wine list heavy on Italian as expected with many options priced at reasonable markups. Very good bread accented with evo was enjoyed by all esp. our toddler. We'll plan to return when visiting soon.Atmosphere was attractive, open style and noise level well under control.

In town on business and have to say - I was impressed. Mandy and the entire service team - shucker included - made sure every need was covered. The menu and specials gave me lots of options, and everything I had was either excellent or very good. The Maryland Crab Soup was terrific and all food was served in a timely manner. Cocktails and prices were very good. The pickled onions served with oysters was a nice touch. Thanks Mandy!Weâre so glad that you stopped in to join us! We could not be happier to hear that Mandy took fantastic care of you, and that your overall experience was exceptional! Thanks for the awesome pictures! We hope that youâll think of us if youâre ever in the area for business again, and we truly appreciate your kind words and incredible rating. Hope to see you again! Cheers, Nick Liberatore

Thanks to all the tripadvisor reviews we ended up going down to Baltimore for one night from Hershey, PA. Our quest was for the best crab cake and our mission was accomplished.Location is outside of Baltimore close to Morgan State in a little neighborhood corner bar. I love corner bars so it was right up my alley. Parking was hard to find - FYI.Now my wife and I lived in Delaware for a few years and would drive down to the Inner Harbor a few times a month. Love the Italian area and Fell's point. Have been eating Maryland Crabs and Crab Cakes for over 20 years. Used to go to Obrickys (??) before they closed down around 10 years ago, maybe more? Anyway, Koco's crab cakes are the best hand's down we have ever had. They are an 11 ounce softball size ball of 95% crab meat with 5% breaded filler to hold them together. Now they are expensive until you put into perspective:1 - they are huge and one crab cake is enough for two people. That said I would never share mine :)2- some things are worth and these are! My wife made a very good point when we were debating to order 6 to take home! She said you know you pay $25 for a lobster roll on a small hot dog bun and little lobster meat, so true. Plus we like Crab better then Lobster anyway. We were going to give two crab cakes to our neighbors across the street and two to the neighbors right next to use becuase we all have dinner/drinks at each others houses routinely. We ended up only saving 2 and when we had them over that week we just served the two as an appetizer. They could not believe how good they are.I will never go back to Baltimore again without a first stop to Koco's. In fact, I might look for a Marriott (my go to hotel chain) as close to Koco's as possible and go there both days and maybe go to the inner harbor :)

I went with four other family members for lunch on a Friday. It was very pleasant - wonderful food, good service - if I am in Baltimore again, would certainly go back.

Authentic Venetian style Italian cooking featuring local produce as well as being one of the only restaurants in little Italy that can say that 100% of our pasta is home-made fresh in house, which includes gluten-free and vegan pasta which allows us to ac
Business trip and leaving the next day so we didn't want a lot of leftover food. Very accommodating 1/2 orders and terrific, homemade pasta and locally-sourced foods. Wednesdays are half-priced wines. Magnifico!
