Find out what Seafood restaurants to try in Rapallo. A port city of about 30,000 on Italy’s Ligurian Coast, Rapallo lies on the Tigullio Gulf about 15 miles southeast of Genoa. The 16th-century Castello sul Mare (Castle-on-the-Sea) is Rapallo’s most prominent landmark, sitting as it does smack in the harbor. The sixth-century Basilica of Santi Gervasio e Protasio is also worth a visit. For a real treat, take the bus or the funivia (cable car) to the sanctuary of Nostra Signora di Montallegro (Our Lady of Montallegro), which offers stunning views.

Restaurant Karalis offers traditional dishes of the ligurian and sardinian cuisine in a modern way, focusing on the quality of the ingredients and on the freshness of Santa Margherita Ligure's catch of the day. You'll find also a vast choice of selected w
This restaurant (ristorante) is located at the edge of city-center.When you enter it, first you might underestimate this restaurant. The interior design is looking quite simple and not luxurious. But more important is what will come then or next...Fast we received the menu and got well informed from Federico =co-owner, who has served us.The choice of excellent wines is extensive.Remarkable: All are offered at fair (!) prices.Fresh bread was served. Tables have table cloth. And we got textile napkins. For starters we ordered " crudo misto di pesce", 22 â¬!"Cappellacio di orata con gamberi cotti e crudi", 18â¬. ( Ravioli, home made). The ordered red wine, " Barbaresco", 36,00 ⬠from Marchesi di Barolo, was of perfect quality and taste, offered at an unbeatable price! For main I ordered grilled Tuna. The quality was average. It was accompanied by fried potatoes (average) " al forno". 25,00 â¬.The cook (also co-owner ) is named Valerio. He has done a good job. These offers, quality and preparation you will find very seldom.I am sure that we will return!I can highly recommend this restaurant! Credit cards will be accepted. The toilet is really clean! My subjective rating:Presentation of meals: 4 pointsQuality and preparing of meals: 4-5 pointsAmbiance: 3-4 pointsValue for money: 5 pointsToilet: 4 pointsOffers: 5 pointsGrazie della visita e anche dei suoi preziosi consigli a presto Valerio e Federico

Le Cupole Restaurant is located on the top floor of the Grand Hotel Bristol in Rapallo Italy. Great food, unforgattable view, "money for value" place. We are on Alain Ducasse Carnet Gourmand.
We booked this restaurant to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary while on holiday in Italy. We specifically booked this one as it has a tasting menu, something we always look out for.The Hotel (Bristol) is just outside the main area of Rapello some 10 minute walk. The restaurant itself is on the top floor with outside seating which as views go is ok, nothing special.Sadly the food was very much the same, out of the 7 courses, there was only one that stood out as very good, the rest were forgettable, either because they really weren't very good or the presentation was "slopped on a plate"Certainly somewhere I wouldn't rush back to.Dear Guest, thank you for your review and cid sorry to read that you did not perceive the quality you expected. Sometimes the dishes are specially prepared in the way you define "cut" ... Sincerely

The restaurant furniture is very traditional and cosy, the staff is absolutely kind and attentive. But we were rally surprised by the kitchen! The dishes were so delicious and fine, this was our best dinner until yet in Liguria! A big compliment to the whole staff, keep going!

The best dining experience on our trip! The previews were absolutely right. You have to have dinner here, if you are a foodie, you should try the tasting meal. Everything is made fresh with great respect to the ingredients. I opted for the a la cart dish -rosso gambero. So happy. Prawns tasted like lobster. Super delicious. My husband opted for the tasting menu. Equally happy. It's good because we shared all the food. Half bottle of wine, prosecco. Just the right portions each time. The owner treats you like family with warmth and passionate about making your meal. Be warned, Italians savor their meals. Make a reservation if possible or come early to occupy one of the 9 tables! Thank you Pasquale Thancks

We searched this restaurant out due to itâs status as number two on Trip Advisor, situated in a shopping gallery behind the western end of the main shopping street in Rapallo. We ordered and received a bowl of decent but slightly over sweet caponata and bread to keep us going. Our wine order was forgotten until I asked again, it was soon to become clear that the pleasant lady who runs front of house had a little too much on her hands. My spaghetti bolognese first course was only just above average, a touch too much tomato and a lack of richness for me but my wife loved her spaghetti vongole despite it being a departure from what weâd been served previously in Italy, it mustâve been a regional variation. There was quite a long wait for our main courses, we noticed quite a few tables having to wait but Iâd read about this in reviews so it wasnât a surprise and wouldnât have been too much of an issue if it hadnât been for the âsingerâ in the restaurant who was pretty poor and was beginning to grate. When it arrived my veal in lemon sauce was underwhelming, the accompanying fried potatoes a little greasy and there were no vegetables on the rather bare plate. When Iâd questioned on ordering I was told that it automatically comes with everything- there was a vegetable side dish that I was interested in so I think a trick was missed there. Again though my wife said her fillet of grilled sole was good although she would have rather had the whole fish on the bone - her plate was a little empty also. Dessert of cannollo was fine, a chocolate addition to the ricotta cheese but I couldnât discern the promised orange peel.In summary, they try really hard at this family owned restaurant and I think you need to stick to the fish options to enjoy the best of whatâs available - we spoke to a couple from an adjoining table that were also staying at the Bristol Hotel and they also liked their fish only courses. The lady serving needs assistance, it was too much for her to do practically everything on her own and she seemed stressed at times. The singer added nothing and indeed detracted from our enjoyment in such a small establishment. We can understand though why itâs well rated - itâs like home cooked food (by a good cook) but needs a few tweaks. The local wine was excellent and very fair at â¬26 a bottle.

Went on a Monday night. Was quite quiet so no problem getting a table for 2. Made to feel very welcome. Quality food and very good wine recommendation. Friendly efficient staff. Would definitely recommend if you are visiting Rapallo. Monkfish in pistachios was really good. Reasonably priced.

We were recommended this restaurant and the food was amazing. The mini seafood degustation was delicious but the service was a little offhand.

So I am reviewing this place from a vegetarians perspective. First of all the service was good. The waiter explained everything well and was very friendly. After explaining that I am a vegetarian and that eating 2 pasta dishes did not sound appealing to me he made an effort to offer an alternative which was the antipasti plate. On it was a white creamy fresh cheese, preserved peppers, white beans with onion, some sort of thin potato cakes, tomatoes with onion and tuna, salami ( i shared with non-vegetarian person). It was not my favourite but appreciated the possibility to have a starter. Then I had "candy-wrapped-style" pasta stuffed with spinach and served with walnut sauce. It was ok but maybe it could be served a bit warmer. For dessert I chose the focaccia tiramisu as this was the waiter's recommendation. I think the idea is nice but to my personal taste the cream was too thick (not fluffy) and the focaccia left a very salty taste. If you are into salty then this is your choice. I think the restaurant is better for meat-fish eaters but nevertheless I appreciated the good service. Dear Guest,we apriciated your comment about our service and our kitchen. We are always more than happy to suggest the best options for our guests such as vegetarians like you but also vegan or gluten free. Our menu changes almost every week and we always consider all our guests needs.Hoping to have you again as our guest!Best regardsTr4ttoria Staff

The Restaurant looked inviting, the name suggested we were in for a fishy treat. Iâm afraid we were so disappointed. Not the greatest of welcomes, service was poor. We felt we were not valued as customers. Our fish was indifferent and The zucchini was merely five slices as decoration. We did not stay for dessert or coffee.Sorry, not a treat.

A HISTORIC MANOR of the end of '800 facing the sea : location for exclusive EVENTS , new RESTAURANT
We were staying at the Grand Bristol hotel in Rapallo end of September 2016 and the weather was excellent so walking about we passed the Villa twice a day for 4 days before we worked out how to get to it as their signage was a bit lacking - but eventually went into the communal park and found the entrance gate! So glad we did. It is an oasis of calm away from the bustle and traffic of downtown Rapallo and simply stunning views from the terrace. Very romantic and nicely furnished.Had dinner and then came back for our last holiday lunch. Both times the service was attentive and the food excellent. Enjoyed the risotto with strawberries and the sea bass baked in salt - well cooked and not overdone as sadly it can be.Overall it is a cut above any other restaurant in Rapallo and we would thoroughly recommend seeking it out if you are staying in or near Rapallo.
