Nonostante avessero accettato la prenotazione tramite The Fork, il locale era chiuso. All'ingresso nessun cartello che indicasse se fosse chiuso per ferie o altro. Abbiamo percorso una trentina di chilometri a vuoto.

If you are looking for a fantastic place to rest and recharge - search not more! This is a true piece of heaven in a family driven structure (with real Trulli) that put the customer in the centre.A special thanks to Leo that was a true host, always ready to advise and make the stay perfect. We come fairly early which was lucky as the place filled up completely as it got darker. We had some wonderful seafood starters - one of which was all uncooked: prawns, mussels, oysters... I sampled everything but prefer my food cooked! The portions are huge! When my son's fried fish assortment turned up, we thought it was for all of us! Anyway - some dishes take longer, so be patient. Lovely wine and great atmosphere.Grazie mille.

We found this place by its rating, but it had no English reviews before. So here's one. Cicirinella is a nice little place, with very welcoming owners and waiters, who give excellent recommendations. The food was very good - we visited several top-rated restaurants in Apulia and this was one of the best ones, way ahead of more touristic places on the shore. Also the pricing is way more reasonable!So if you want excellent authentic apulian cuisine from nice local people - drive by Putignano (it's a nice town by the way) and check it out.

This is the kind of outdated restaurant that serves plates my grandmother could have cooked when she would have been an Italian mama. What we got on our plate was fresh and well prepared - but no more than that. Even the atmosphere of the huge place was straightforwardly cold & boring .... with even 4 men dining after a sort of curtain not to be mixed up with the rest of the guests. If this is the best in place, then Putignano is not 3-star dining place.

When you want a true food experience this is the place....Chef Angelo born in this region takes classic dishes and turns them into masterpieces....we had a wonderful lunch there and even though we ordered just a few dishes (appetizer, main, dessert) the food was non stop! We also ordered a couple of glasses of wine which were both perfect! This place should be the highlight of your trip to Puglia...plan accordingly, give yourself lots of time to eat and enjoy this wonderful chef create his magic!
