Things to do in Puchong
Been there last night with a family of 15pax. We ordered a package for 8-10pax dinner & some add ons. In overall the food was nice & enough for us. I like the nestum prawn & the slice fish. The rest was just ok. Overall we have a great meal & the place is not packed even its Sunday night. Pro's : Nice chinese style food & its HalalCon's : Bathroom water slow.
Be early for weekend dinner. Place will be packed by 7 pm. Baba steamed fish head is signature dish. Not like hot spicy sour can go for ginger. Lala in broth another great dish. Home made tofu a must. Used to have a braised pig knuckle unfortunately not seem to have now.Price very reasonable. 4 dishes with fish approx. RM 70. Term cash.

Our family of 3 had lunch here at Tiga in Bdr Puchong Utama, which is in the southern suburbs of Klang Valley. Its located just off the Lebuhraya Damansara-Puchong. We ordered the tiliapia fish with clams loaded with chopped garlic and ginger in the house signature soup with chinese rice wine. Added on a large portion of âfan shue miewâ (sweet potatoe leaves stiir fried) and a salted fatty pork in dark sauce claypot dish. For drinks we ordered âkok pow/chinese tea) with a large bowl of ice. The bill came up to about RM130, which I think is rather reasonable for the portion, freshness and taste. This restaurant is highly recommended for lunch or dinner. Parking is an issue however, during weekdays at lunch time.
The restaurant is very much like any other Chinese restaurant, air-conditioned, clean and well, pretty comfortable. We also learned quite a bit on seafood, particularly crabs. The leading character of the day is the crab! Oh I shall thank them for marching me through a lengthy lesson about crabs, how the roes may come in yellow, green or orange. And yes, about how crabs can die from a mere mosquito sting in the eye (ignore if you already know âcos I didnât).Anyway I learned that crabs have virginity too (of course they do) and when they are pregnant with roes, the colour would determine the ripeness â green being very raw and young, yellowish being developing and orange is when itâs fully mature. All three colours emit different tastes â green is more sourish (and less preferred), yellow has a unique taste with a bit of tang and sweetness while orange is mostly sweet. Orange is very common so I thought it would do me a great favor to be able to try out the green and yellow, both of which we were fortunate enough to sample!I loved the yellow roe â itâs more palatable and rare â something Iâm not able to describe precisely.BUT TAKE NOTEThe restaurant cannot promise the colour of the roe as they would only find out upon cooking the crabs. In other words, itâs purely luck. So donât go slamming the manager for not having the yellow roe you want.Like to Eat Seafood Restaurant also has exciting offers for crabs like 50% discounts for weekday promotions, both lunch and dinner which is a downright bottom rock deal!
