We had a Sea Bass grilled and it was absolutely delicious. The service was excellent, as it is in this hotel. The waiter also suggested an excellent wine that matched perfectly the fish. The restaurant is open and the view is great. It's a bit expensive but it's really worth the money.

Attractive from the outside and run with great efficiency, we were able to secure a table in the garden, despite not having booked. Service was extremely fast; the waitress ran between most tables, and was very quick to "sell up" if shown any hesitation between two items on the menu or the wine list; she was positively dismissive of the house wine. The menu appeared to have everything we liked, but we got the feeling that "Flintstones" (why Flintstones??) might have been a chain, reporting figures back to Milano every night, rather than a local concern. We felt no desire to repeat the experience.

This was a quick stop for some lunch whilst enjoying the beach. The service was good after the initial wait. The manager was attentive and genuinely seemed to enjoy looking after customers. The chicken and chips was cooked and seasoned well. A nice drop of ichnusa washed it all down.

I highly recommend this restaurant. We visited for lunch with 2 children and 2 of our group who are vegetarian. The menu suited everyone, the food was delicious, the views amazing and the service was brilliant. Our waiter entertained the children with souvenirs and bubbles and was extremely warm and attentive. There was plenty of car parking just off the road to the right when arriving at the restaurant (behind the hotel parking).

Really kind service, super welcome. We enjoyed a variety of salads over repeated visits. The pizzas were really good. The austerity pizza was yummy olive oil and rosemary and made us smile. Great choice of deserts. Loved the lemon sorbet. Prices reasonable. A winner.

Beautiful setting, but an expensive place. We ordered sea bass which we could only have for 2 people as you have to have a whole fish. The fish arrived and it was huge we were very impressed even though it was costing us â¬28 per person. However the fish we were served was minuscule and our expensive sea bass was wheeled away. We felt that there was a lot more fish to be served and stated this. The fish was served with roast potatoes and we paid extra for a mixed salad â¬7. The roast potatoes were awful. When we went to pay we commented that the fish was not good value for money and the manager completely lost it!!! He started to shout that this was the way they did it and no one else complained. He was very loud and aggressive. Overall this restaurant was a place we would never go back to. Over priced, and arrogant staff. The quality of the food was poor and the whole experience was dreadful. Glad to get out!!!Dear McOscarThank you for having spent one evening of your holiday in our restaurant. We have been very pleased to welcome you and to prepare a sea bass in salt rock for you and your wife. The fish was prepared and served in a very professional way, as we do many times, every day.Our waiter presented the fish in salt rock to you. Of course, it looked huge, as there was a thick salt rock around the fish. It was cleaned from the salt in front of you and filleted in two portions off the bones and served. The tray containing the salt, the bones and the head of the fish was brought away.You accused us, in a very unpleasant way, that we did not serve all the fish and did not accept our explanation. When you refused to pay the bill, threating us to write a bad review on Tripadvisor, we had to be strict and pretend the payment. We have been running the âRistorante Il Portolanoâ with passion for 20 years, providing professional service and excellent quality food, making thousands of guests truly happy and grateful.

Great great service, people here are extremely welcoming and kind. We asked for some variations of the menu and we had exactly what we wanted! We were a big group with kids and they served the kids in like 5 minutes! Awesome! Good pizza, nice locations, lovely vibes Gentilissima siuppolina,complimenti che ci arrivano da Boston??? ...ma è meraviglioso!!!Voglio ringraziarla per l'eccellente recensione che ci ha dedicato e soprattutto per aver speso parte del suo tempo sedendosi ai nostri tavoli.Ci mettiamo tutto l'impegno per rendere piacevole la permanenza del nostro ospite a "Il Farè Restaurant" e se possiamo farvi mangiare senza lo "stress" di un bambino da accudire, lo facciamo volentieri. Election night in Italy and many places were closed. We had excellent service with our very tasty seafood, pecorino and pasta. Highly recommend this place. Not the same type of food, higher quality. We went here for dinner. I had pasta pomodoro and my boyfriend had the lamb. We got a table for two outside with a view. I loved it! My food was very tasty, my boyfriend thouht his food was a bit boring. But the staff was so friendly, even though they really didn't speak too much english.When we arrived we asked if it was possible to get a taxi back to town, as we realized on our way there that it really wasn't walking distance... When ready to go our waiter walked us out and drove us back to town in his private car (!!!). Hopefully he was happy with the tip.
