We had a perfectly good meal this evening (4 adults & two 3 year olds), food & service were fine. BUT I resent being cheated on the bill - my credit card was charged in £, not €, & despite the chit saying the contrary I was NOT offered the option. As every savvy traveller knows, this is a rip off tactic. I strongly advise only eating here if you are paying cash!!

We enjoyed our salad and croquet lunch so much we went back for an evening meal. Shared garlic prawns (big portion) then a monk fish dish and a Sea Bass meal. All lovely and Rafael (great host) guided us to a lovely bottle of Albariño.Would definitely return if in the area.

Really nice place to eat the starter of 5 tapas dishes on 1 plate was amazing you get to try a few different starters that was and is probably big enough to share, the calamari was also nice and very well cooked. The main coarses were really nice to we both enjoyed lovely dishes the salmon ravioli was nice but pasta a touch to thick and the turbot fish dish was lovely. We had no room for dessert, the staff were excellent all dressed smart and always had a smile on their faces. Would recommend this place for a lovely comfortable evening.

I spent around one hour reading reviews on TripAdvisor to decide where to eat Paella in Cala Dor as I always try to avoid tourist traps or disappointing experiences. I decided to try Can Trompe and was not disappointed. Their menu was informing the paella was for at least 2 people but the waiter agreed to do a 1.5 paella for me as I was solo. I ordered the blind paella and was satisfied, in fact, it was even too much so they packed the rest for me and I ate for dinner on the following day. It costed around 24 euro plus 2.50 euro for a coke. They also have desserts starting from 5 euro but I was already too full. Have no complaints as waiters have been kind and attentive.

If you’re looking for an amazing restaurant with amazing views, amazing service and amazing food, this it is. We have been coming here for many years and every time the food is just as amazing as the last. An absolute must visit especially for seafood. Delicious sea bass in salt and paella. We are also huge fans of the pickled anchovies and seaman style mussels. I would advise to book in the evenings as it is always very busy. Faultless.

The RESTAURANT PROAS is situated on the first row of the port of Cala D'or. The Proas is a very well established family owned and run restaurant, offering many regional Mallorquín specialities of the Island. For 18 years we, as a family have been offering
I visit Mallorca pretty much every year and have done since I was born. Proas is a restaurant I look forward to visiting whenever I book the tickets to Mallorca. I normally visit in the summer. I imagine they don’t open in the winter, as many of the restaurants, it’s seasonal trade. Located in the harbour of Cala d’or it’s got a beautiful setting. I normally have a fish dish. They usually have a special on. I think I had a Sole when I last went. The staff are always really friendly and accommodating. They’re always relatively busy so I would recommend booking. Either pop in or over the phone. Their english is good.

We were staying in a hotel with in Porto Petro and nearly overlooked this little gem. From outside did not look much, but entered and overlooking Porto Petro. It was our last day here, and had eaten in other places in the port, but I can say the welcome, hospitality and quality of food outshone the other generic places to eat. I had the Majorcan fish and my partner had the squid, we were not disappointed. If you stay in Porto Petro (the restaurant is a couple of minutes walk from Blau Resort and Spa) then would recommend a stop off at this friendly and inviting restaurant with very tasty food.

So my partner and I stumbled across this restaurant through tripadvisor and turned up on a Monday evening. Staff are really friendly and showed us to a nice table near the entrance but outside. We ordered garlic prawns and calamari to start - both were amazing and tasted really fresh. For main we had mixed meat and seafood paella - wow this was amazing and such a big portion! The mussels and lobster in the paella melted in your mouth and just everything about it was so good. We shared a bottle of wine (photo attached) which wasn’t on the wine list but the waitress kindly offered it as I said I like a sweet wine.
