We were undecided about eating in restaurant or bar area. The hostess put up with us changing our minds a couple times. Our waitress was very friendly. I ordered the Grilled Salmon and side salad. My husband ordered the Cowboy Burger. The food came out quickly. My salmon was nicely cooked and seasoned. My husband also liked his burger. The rest of the family enjoyed their selections. We would definitely return.

What does a good company do when your customer is not happy with the restaurant? Recognize, apologize and offer a restorative experience! That's what happened to me at Plainridge Casino! And now Slackâs is one of my favorite place to dinner! Do know why? Because the dos is improving a lot, but much more than this, Slackâs has the best people in Massachusetts! Debby, Paul, Ruby, Cheryl and all other waitresses and hostess!I just love this place!!!

Went on a Saturday evening, and even at 5:30 it was crowded. Expected, especially since it's a small place. Most of the seating is the high-up bar kind of tables. Donna was a fantastic hostess and even swapped out a table chair with a bar chair for more comfortability.Erin was our server, and she was so great. Always a smile on her face, she was funny and helpful - very attentive! She and Donna were so on top of everything. The food was good, and I will say that the chefs at this place most definitely know how to make sauces and gravies, which is huge because most people do not make them flavorful enough. I ordered the fried clams, which were tasty. Only downside would be they could be a bit crunchier. I also got mashed potatoes instead of fries, and Erin had brought over brown gravy so I added that and it was so tasty. I also tasted the white sausage gravy on my sister's country fried chicken and that was really good as well.Overall, nice dinner! Just very loud as it's a small place, with very high ceilings. I asked Donna the best time to come in that's not so busy and we'll be sure to be back on a Saturday for lunch!!
