Things to do in Pisco
Our last day of 13-day Peru trip, passing by this restaurant that has no big sign but spacious dining area with eye-catching bamboo-made furniture. As the docked fishing boat area is on the other side of the Street, you know this is the place for seafood lovers although they do have others meats on menu. Having cerviche many times during our trip, we preferred "hot" meals. Fortunately we are able to ask the chef with my poor Spanish for cooking something not on the menu and they are super delicious. Image if you can speak Spanish well. It's totally worth of stopping by.
Parcheggiato davanti al mare vediamo un signore che ci viene in conto con una mug contenente un brodo caldo di pesce . Situazione anomala.

Extensive menu. Fresh catch of the day. Inexpensive. Best place around Pisco.
This is the best restaurant in the small fishing Village of San Andres. Everything Is fresh. The fish they serve is the day catch. To me the best are the chitas or cabrillas.Whole deep fried is the best way with hot rice with onion salsa.

This is where the local Peruvians eat. Best to know some Spanish, as I am unsure if the staff speak English, my wife did all the ordering. The food is of good quality and at a very reasonable price. We were given the option of a free drink or soup to our meal.

Based on the huge recommendations of this place, I was looking forward to a mixto ceviche. I was sadly disappointed, the scollops were mushy and the octopus was tough. However the fish was nice and I ate every last bite of that. Nice friendly service with a free Pisco sour.

Our tour guide Lucio recommended us to try As de Oros because it was one of his favorite local restaurant, my husband and I decided to give it a try and we thought the experience overall was great and food was delicious. The restaurant looks very fancy from the outside but prices are reasonable, average dish ranges from 20-40 soles. Our local tour guide told us that because they're very busy, their inventory stays fresh since all the groceries gets used up quickly. We ordered the Ceviche Mixto, Chaufa seafood fried rice & fish filet / shrimps AND mushroom soup. Be aware : this restaurant has very large portions, we ended up not finishing everything and took some food to go so we can munch on back at our hotel hehe. I loved the Ceviche - was fresh and delicious. Mushroom soup was awesome. The fried rice & fish filet was pretty basic I thought - nothing too special. And the Chaufa fried rice was especially fishy (the smell). I mean there were seafood mixed into the fried rice, hence the smell was strong. But I'm not a fan of fishy smell. I would def visit again though, and will order Ceviche again!
