No wow effect for this convenient joint. Ok eatable. Not so expensive. Rather nice service for this kind of place. The only problem I encountered is the dehydration after finishing the meal. I felt thirsty for long. Perhaps the use of MSG caused this. But I could be wrong though.
One of the three best seafood restaurants in Cha-am, along with Paklong and Yao Seafood. Prices are reasonable for the freshness and quality - and dirt-cheap by European/US standards. At the far northern end of Cha-am Beach Road, this has no English sign but is the first on the left as you enter a kind of night market that looks as if it's being torn down. They have tanks of fish and seafood in front. No English here, so bring a dictionary if you are not accompanied by a Thai-speaker.Anything you pick out from the tanks will be barbecued and their huge BBQ prawns are wonderful. Also they have THE best fried fish with 3-flavor sauce (ask for this superb spicy/sweet/sour sauce "separate" as it's always too spicy, even if we ask for "ped nit noy" meaning only a little bit spicy). They have good (off menu) tempura mixed veg. Actually any tempura is excellent here. Also good are the grilled prawns in garlic, the fried asparagus with (small) shrimp and their grilled sea scallops in herb butter,Only average: crab with curry, stir-fried crab with green onions, stir-fried mixed veg. Morning glory in oyster sauce is good but a little too salty. We didn't like their fried prawn balls (good but not deveined) or their steamed fish in lemon (& chillies).

Preeyanon Kitchen In Phetchaburi Province Is a local restaurant, seafood, with urgent food Folk food Casual shop decoration Trees shady, good weather, next to the sea
A huge and shabby place 20 minutes north of Cha am, the previous review is accurate. Weâve been coming here for 6 or 7 years, whenever in the area and always stopping on our drive down from Bangkok. Their seafood is always very fresh and some of our favourite dishes are not on the English menu. We bring Thai translations as the polite waitresses only have a few English words. We love their battered prawns, on their English menu called fritter shrimp, which is brought with a sweet dip. Favourites not on their English menu but prepared so well here that we mention them longingly when back home:- chuu chee gung (prawns in a red curry sauce - specify âped nit noyâ meaning very little chilli)- steamed fish with lemon, garlic and chilli (the version without chilli is on the menu but not a patch on this) - also ped nit noy - gung makham (prawns in tamarind)- fish in 3-flavour sauce (first time we had this in Thailand, we were stunned by its fabulousness and it is done well here)- stir fried mixed vegetables (probably the best version weâve tasted)Basically, order any seafood dish you can find Thai translations for that you fancy. It will be marvellous here.Yes, their toilets, new just 3 years ago, are to first world standards. Prices, however, are to third world standards. We prefer lunchtimes to dinnertimes as there are lots of mosquitos around when dark. Just this week they cut down the shade trees out front for more parking. Sometimes they cater for coaches full of Thais, usually the death knell for a good restaurant so letâs hope it isnât too often.
Yao Seafood is one of the top three seafood places in Cha-am - with the best and freshest seafood, best flavors, and good prices - along with Dow Talay and Paklong, both closer to Cha-am Beach. It's way down towards the end of Klong Tien Rd - about 150-200 meters before you get to the unsigned road with the large archway marked "watanaram" (or similar) that leads to the northern end of Cha-am beach.Yao is a large open-sided place seating about 70. There's no English sign here but they have two man-size black statues and lots of figurines in front. It's on the beach side of the road and has a large parking lot (to the right if you're facing it from the road). At present there is a large Chaumhaus sign nearby but little otherwise in the way of location identifications. No English is spoken at all, bring a dictionary if you don't have a Thai person with you. Busy at weekends: mostly with Thais, very few unaccompanied foreigners.Among our favorites here are the mixed spicy salad and the sea bass 3-taste but best to ask for this sauce - spicy/sweet/sour - to be served "separate" as it's always hot-spicy even when we ask for "ped nit noy" (a little bit spicy only). We also like their tom yum goong, which is the most sour version we've tasted in over 20 years of visiting Thailand, and their off-menu stir-fried mixed veg. Their curried crab and their prawn tempuras were too oily.
great place to eat fresh seafood and it's not pricey so a seafood lover will love the place so much..

We have now been to Chomview Seafood a few times. Our first visit was during a holiday. The service was awful and the food was really not to good. We decided to give it another try on a regular week night and had a far different experience. The main draw here is the view. The restaurant is set right on the beach so the sounds and the views are excellent. On this second visit there were not many customers; we had fine service at a table right at the beach. The food was quite good... There were 4 of us so we were able to share quite a few dishes. We will go back again but never on a holiday.

Without a car, you would not want to get to this restaurant as it was quite far from the main road. However, that came with a very quiet and peaceful environment. Taste was good and worth a try. Plenty of parking spots. Recently, guest houses were seen around. It could become more and more popular here.
