We decided at the last minute to go out for dinner on New Year's Eve whilst on holiday near Tauranga. Lucky enough to find a table at Nomad early in the evening and we had a lovely time listening to the music and enjoying our food. I had the cauliflower risotto which was so delicious! My husband had the lamb rump which he also enjoyed. Both meals were excellent. We opted for a dessert to share - a chocolate fondant. Heavenly! Highly recommend this restaurant.

Id been for dinner before and it was fine I took mum for lunch over my holiday break ordered the Asian pork and prawn salad it was so Unfresh the greens were not crisp it was just old the pork was dry and super chewy and the prawns were so so dry and rubbery like they had been microwaved never had such terrible prawns in my life Mum had chicken salad the salad wasnât fresh Mum chicken was poached or something as it was so dry and very sparse for what we paid it ruined a special day for us $70 for food that was awful to eat.

You'll find us in the heart of downtown Mount Maunganui, unmistakable frontage of schist stone with a gas torches a blaze.Open for dinner or just bar snacks. Relax at one of our street-side tables along Maunganui Road, inside the decor of natural timber,
Latitude is a large bar/restaurant which caters for a variety of age groups. It is warm in the winter with the fires going and on a Sunday there is always live music in the afternoon along with Happy Hour (4-6 usually). The menu provides a nice selection and since Iâve eaten there several times with others I can say that the food hasnât disappointed. I really enjoy the salmon salad! If you like to watch live sport there are at least 3-4 TV screens for choice.Good ambience and attentive staff.

This used to be one of the top restaurants (IMO) in Tauranga and we recently visited based on past experience. The table service was really poor we wondered if maybe this had become a training ground for graduates to hospitality, as some of the wait staff had absolutely no clues. The food itself was very ordinary and we were really disappointed that Tauranga had lost what was once a special place.

Delightful fresh snapper, well cooked and served with lemon slices and tomato sauce when we dined in. The spring roll was ok, should have ordered another piece of fish instead! There is a reasonable amount of seating inside. The service was good. We will be back when we are next in town.
