This restaurant is literally just off the main road in Latislana and obviously caters for Germans as well as Italians. If you are not proficient in Italian or German then take a phrase book with you as there are no menus in English and the waitressing staff spoke very little English. We guessed what to eat and the quality was really good - there was alot of red meat if that is your preference and looked very nice. There were some set menus and pasta dishes as you would expect - I think they offered pizza although this was not on the menu. The house wine was excellent - we only paid 9 euros for it - the other white wines started at 19 euros. Two courses with a 1 litre carafe cost 55 euros. Slightly lacking in atmosphere but if it is nice food at a reasonable price then this place serves that purpose well.

It might have been the endless bottles of Wine, Prosecco, Champagne, and Moscato.... It might have been the fabulous array of seafood courses....Or it might have been the great company of special friends and family in celebrating their special Wedding day, but I had to repeatedly pinch myself to make sure I had not died and gone to heaven. Despite a forecast of four days of thunderstorms before we traveled to Latisana, it was a perfect sunny Italian day with a slight refreshing breeze. The setting at "Ristorante Al Fiume Stella" was perfect. Located along a quiet branch of the Tagliamento river leading eventually out to sea, a long white linen umbrella covered table with bouquets of flowers, and flower petals trailing along pathways. There was course after course of every seafood I could have imagined, most being new to me despite my being an "adventurous eater", and I was eager to experience each new delight. From delicate uncooked tuna and prawns, to lobster on the grill, to the Venetian classic sarde in saor, all was presented with flare and style. Course after course arrived for hours each one testing our taste buds further with delight, threatening to force a loosening of our belts, yet tempting all to indulge further with no turning back. Your glass is empty.... now it is full. You are still savoring the last dish... when the next arrives. Everyone is smiling and, in Italian fashion, everyone greats you with warm embraces and a kiss on each cheek for this is a day of celebration. While a bit off the easy to find path for non-locals, the search is worth the effort. I highly recommend this restaurant and guarantee it will be an experience you will not soon forget.

Our group of three couples had our first meal in Italy at this wonderful restaurant on the recommendation of our hotel. We were not disappointed. We each selected a different entree and they were all delicious.The zucchini blossom starter was superb. The wines compliment the food and were well priced. As it was late in the season, and cool, we were not able to enjoy the outside patio but the atmosphere inside the restaurant was warm and welcoming.

On our trip to Croatia stayed in a hotel very near and how we felt like a pizza we came here, choosing this restaurant from the recommendations made at the hotel. It had been raining but the restaurant has covered space outside, so we eat right there. We were told that was recently reopened, has a modern / rustic and friendly look. Ate the couvert that brought us, pizza , house wine. Saw steaks and traditional food with very good look in other tables, had a lot of local people and everyone seemed happy with the food. We like what we eat. Good price, good food, efficient service, very nice place. If you pass through we recommend

Fabulous food at reasonable price. We came 2 nights in a row and we're not disappointed. Service was brilliant, we were made to feel like part of the family. We had a celiac in our group and the chef was very accommodating of this. We also couldn't find any wine in the list that was suitable and the wine waitor sold a bottle that he had made himself which was excellent.

Oh what a great night we had in the Antica Wisteria so Tubing! This restaurant is really beautiful, with nice interior and backyard. You would not think so from outside, because from the street you only see the bar, but once you pass it, it's really perfect. The service was top notch and they were super nice with the kids. We had both fish and meat dishes, and they were super tasty. If you have the opportunity: go there!

we asked for a good place to eat lunch while in Latisana and were directed to this restaurant which is easy to find along the main road to Trieste. We ordered some 'antipasti' and a main dish, tuna. Everything was prepared with a lot of care and detail, satisfying also the eye. Good prosecco to accompany the food. I'd come here again; definitely!
