Learned this restaurant failed it's code for keeping work spaces clean.. with fish of all things. They were fined and I have heard horror stories about the southern location in Oshawa. Probably not a good idea to risk it. Especially because bad old habits die hard and a fine might not be enough to stop a bad habit.... just saying...

Very good service and excellent value Halibut lunch special! Lemon slices available which is a bonus. Halibut and batter are both excellent with just enough greasiness!

NEW OWNERSWas the place to go to for fish and chips. We had the halibut and chips the orders are small one piece about 3" and then you get a small 1"piece . Any other time we have ordered there the fish could be cut with a fork. Not happy $33.00 for two small orders.

Came from out of town and had a hankering for fish and chips. Based on reviews, we decided to try Churchill's. It lived up to its reputation. Had lightly battered halibut with fresh cut fries (not frozen) and the best coleslaw I have ever tasted! Also, the service was fast and friendly making this restaurant a winner. The only drawback is that the establishment is "cash only" - they don't accept credit or debit cards - a minor inconvenience as they have an on-site ATM.

Casual fine dining. Steakhouse, Seafood , pasta. Fresh ingrediants. House made stocks, dressings and sauces. Dietary restriction friendly.
Just found this gem on Google when I was looking for a restaurant that served both steak and seafood. The reviews were good so we gave it a try. It was one of the best meals I have had in Whitby in a while. I will certainly be back. The service was attentive and the food definitely something to write home about.
