Opelousas Food Guide: 10 Must-Eat Restaurants & Street Food Stalls in Opelousas
Itâs only take out, no seating. Nice people & clean inside. The food is awesome. Itâs like something your grandmother or mother would cook. We ordered a plate lunch of shrimp stew, fries, & a chicken sandwich. The shrimp stew was the best shrimp stew Iâve had since my grandmotherâs. The chicken sandwich was a huge piece of a boneless chicken breast, fried. It was delicious also. The fries were freshly cooked & seasoned nicely. I will definitely be going back there again.

This restaurant should be packed but on a Saturday night - empty. This is our second time and the reason we went back is because the food is excellent and we were going to give the service another opportunity to redeem themselves. Sorry to say, it was not improved and was more disappointing than our last visit. If they could only get their act together. I ordered the Tuna appetizer and asked for some soy sauce. The waitress finally came and said that they did not have any. This is really inexcusable. There are two other restaurants in the casino and she could have maybe borrowed soy sauce from them? Not sure about this. Server was unpleasant and could care less if we needed anything. We spent over $160 and don't know if we will go back again.Sorry for any frustration you experienced while you were visiting us. We pride ourselves on excellent service, so if your experience was not exceptional, then we apologize. Please let us know how we can improve. Thank you for your feedback, and we hope to see you again.
