Am I getting soft? Another (nearly) 5 star reviews. I think of myself as a pretty tough reviewer ... I mean why write a review that doesn't outline the good and the less than good? But for the second time in as many weeks, I'm finding a restaurant on Long Island that from a price/service/food stacks up really well. Would have been 5 stars except (1) when we made some changes to our meal (ordering an main course served as an appetizer & ordering from the dessert menu rather than from the desserts verbally told to us by our server) they failed to inform us of a considerable up charge; and, (2) almost every fish on the menu was from a non-sustainable source. And restaurants that want to stay in business for the long-term need to start thinking about long-term sources of food. Those two issues aside ... food was perfectly prepared, well seasoned, arrived at the right moment and was piping hot (except the cold stuff which was cold). Our server, guided us expertly through a 5 course meal. Making suggestions, engaging with us to make us feel "at home" but not being overly present. Water glasses always stayed topped off. And the wine list albeit at 3.5-4x was a bit pricey, still had a few hidden gems and a nice selection of wines by the glass. The view isn't as great as those across the street, but you can still watch some boats come by and have the sense of being "on the shore". I'd go back.

I have eaten here several times and the food is really good.We came for dinner after 830pm and they had a live band playing which made our dinner more pleasurable.Parking is alittle tight but they have valet parking if you need it. Try this restaurant, you will come back again.

Peter's Clam Bar & Seafood Restaurant is Long Island's oldest Clam Bar. Everything is made from scratch and uses only the finest ingredients and freshest seafood available. We invite you to join us for another great summer!
So Peterâs clam bar is another place where cash is king!! Come prepared. It has a view overlooking the water and a landfill, lol.Clams were very good. The clam taco consisted of clams, tartar sauce and cabbage on a tortilla. It was very basic but had a nice clam flavor. Other people in my party got the linguine with mussels which had large pieces of garlic and a generous amount of mussels. The taco and pasta dishes came with a drink. The cheeseburger was a little over-cooked, but this is a seafood joint....The price for the hamburger platter $7.50 and the others were $13.99.

Have been to this location many times. Long time member of rewards program. This visit was beyond sub par. Restaurant was sort of empty and the server was clearly not interested in our table,Long wait to order, for food and to clear table .Sat, sat and sat some-ore When asked questions about menu she gave wrong information. They had only one vegetable (usually at least two) on the menu unless you wanted to pay an up charge of $5.50 for Vegetables!. Food came out cold, plate a mess with food dumped in dish of sauce. Sat near Kitchen and watched wait staff touch everyone's food on plates WITHOUT washing hands, wearing Gloves or hair nets. EWW. A little gross and unsanitary! Spoke to Manager who was very polite and apologetic Refunded full bill and offered coupons. Appreciated but finding it difficult to ever return

Jordan Lobster is a full service seafood restaurant with a retail store. We also have a clam bar and backyard bar which is open from Memorial Day through Labor Day weather permitting.
Dined on a Monday evening and was seated right away. Outside seating area was available. I thought that would have been enjoyable since restaurant states waterfront location. Quickly regretted that choice. Menu had a large selection of seafood options. Chose Lobster cakes, served with fries and coleslaw. Only tasted peppers and breading, not much lobster. Coleslaw was bland. They have a walk up counter to order carry out. I wanted to like this place but didnât have a nice enough experience to recommend.

Overall Ben's crab sone of the best seafood restaurants I have been too, the food is amazing and very affordable. Their proportions are perfect more then most crab boil restaurants I have attended. The drinks are AMAZING!!! Only downside is on the weekends it is extremely busy so the serves are running all around sometimes its hard to get someones attention but the food quality, taste and service from one of managers was great!

I've been to Chadwicks for a few special occasions and hosted a baby shower there too! The food is fantastic and a great treat for a special night out. The location is perfect if you're looking to grab a bite to eat or a drink before heading into the city. The parking on this side of RVC is also better than "down town".Thanks for your review! We really appreciate you taking the time to let us know about your experience and we hope to see you again soon! Sincerely,The Team at Chadwicks American Chop House & Bar

I'm out in New York for work and the first region I was at is the Long Island Area. The hotel clerk recommended a restaurant and I was going to go there but there was a dress code. Shorts was not one of those on the list for acceptable. Got on my iPhone and started to search and saw Bigelow's New England Fried Clams was not far away. Drove up and walked right in, the staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was just cool. The service was top notch, someone was always making sure us customers were being attended too and cups were always filled with whatever drink it was. The regulars were fun to listen to and the owner and son were there and they were chatting it up. It was a great experience and real nice to see that there are business out there that still take care of their customers.I ordered the Clams and fries and was so glad I did. Great fresh taste, a lot of clam strips by the way. Just overall good food, everything that I saw coming out looked really really good. By the way, being in New York I was torn to order Manhattan or New England style clam chowder, I went with the New England, WOW, it was screaming. Tasty and just damn good. If I come back out here again, would love for my famliy to come to this national landmark!!! Place has been there for over 80 years. Wishing them another 80. Thanks for a great experience and for the fantastic food!!
