The new owners did wonders for âThe Innâ. The parlor and dining areas are fabulously decorated in a eclectic shabby chic/antique blend. The new front landscaping and pool courtyard are both first class with significant attention to detail. The plans for the new bar look like it will be equally impressive. The two owners we super accommodating, engaging and openly sharing of their new plans. For lunch our entire family ordered the Plantation Breakfast of Scrambled Egg, flavorful cheese grits, homemade biscuits cooked on an waffle iron, thick cut bacon & hickory sausage. We all thoroughly enjoyed the meal, coffee, tea and mimosas! Very happy to have a wonderful ânewâ spot to enjoy.

We stopped here after a vsist to Rosedown on a Sunday afternoon. As restaurants in this area on a Sunday can be hard to find, we were happy to find it so close to the plantation. Service was fast and friendly. Outside service under the oak tree is available but no recommended in August. Our gluten free diner with dairy allergies was able to find dishes to suit them.

Spinach & Artichoke chicken Florentine was amazing... when I received it Everyone at the table wished they had ordered it & esp after they tasted it. The parsley potatoes paired with it were awesome! The fried selections others received fish & shrimp were breaded great & tasted fresh & flaky!

Beautiful setting for sunset dinner. Actually built out over the water, The ducks swim up for a nibble and the view is astonishing. Food was good but not as good as the veiw. The Catfish Begeron was great!
We came back to Morel's because it is one of our favorites. Great looking place after remodeling after the flood. There were pro's and con's. Friendly, polite service, good food and very clean, private restrooms. Pro's: My entrée was very good, oyster plate with onion rings, oysters were big and heavy, with not too much crust. Marinated crab claws were also very good. Con's (sorry): Wife's gumbo was cooler than room temperature and she had to send it back to be heated (how could the server not notice this?). She also did not like it (maybe a matter of taste) and resorted to putting her whatchacallit sauce in it for taste. Hmmm. It took four requests to get my second beer, two to our waitress, and two to the other employees. Overall, we'll be back, and I do recommend Morel's. We like their motel that is adjacent to the restaurant. I think these con's were just glitches.

Stopped here for Friday evening supper. There is adequate parking. Arrived around 6pm and was met by hostess who immediately seated us at a table by the window overlooking False River. There is even docking space if you prefer to arrive by boat. Waitress came to take our drink order and I asked for wine list. We ordered glasses of Pinot Noir to relax and enjoy the view. The menu is extensive, but we ordered Catfish Bergeron which was broiled catfish with spinach and pecan glaze served with smashed potatoes and french bread. Meal was excellent.

Heard great things about Ma Mamas, was so excited to eat there. Atmosphere was very cute upon entering with our small family. Waitress was rude. Never refilled our waters or asked us about more drinks. All the food came out at once, apps, salad, every thing. My soup was super cold. The oysters Rockefeller was caked in spinach, couldnât find the oysters. Food was subpar. Very disappointing experience.
