Kevin Seafood is a mom& pop shop that makes some of the best seafood in Connecticut. The shop has been updated and is more spacious. This is family ran, so almost everyone that works at Kevin's is a family member. The food is amazing and comes in huge portions, that can feed two people. The cod and shrimp baskets come with heaping amount of fries. Kevin's also does some of the most delicious hush puppies and fried okra outside of the South. The location is both a blessing and a curse it's easy to find off the I-95, but in one of the tougher neighborhoods. Like myself, locals make up the majority of clientele. Overall the food is the star and if you like seafood then make your way Kevin's Seafood!

I went for breakfast and went back for dinner! The location is beautiful right on the water in the Marina. The service was awesome and the food to match. Started with a great breakfast of build your own omelets and strawberry stuffed waffles! Went back the same night for a delicious dinner of Eggplant, hamburgers and I want to go back for the seafood!

First time visit, the seafood was outstanding. The place was clean and you sit outside to eat not a sit down restaurant, only take-out. The food looked so amazing I eat everything before taking pictures, smile. The seafood is fresh. There is a small parking lot on the side of the building to park and street parking but limited. Many restaurants around the area along with stores, gas station, McDonalds, etc. Maybe the restaurant is about 15 blocks from Yale University if that since Yale owns about everything. On a week business trip and eat at D' Amato's three different times and each time the food was excellent. Try it and let us know. Enjoy!!

Have tried a couple of times, but the food is never consistent. I enjoy sitting at the bar, as the service is always great. Good selection of wines. The pasta seems gummy and heavy-certainly not homemade and light. Tried the cavatelli recently with meatball, sausage and braciola. Meat was good, but pasta not so much. I have not had much luck ordering the fish - best stick with meat. Salads are good and the bread is excellent. Appetizers are so-so. Desserts, although not house made, are typically very good.

This place was way more pretentious than it deserved to be. That being said, the fish tacos were sad little things - three tiny pieces of very fried fish, a heavy dollop of tartar sauce in each, and because I'm allergic to tomato and asked for no Pico de Gallo, that was it. No cabbage, no lettuce, just the fish.

This was our first time at this restaurant. We have been to the one in Madison several times. In Madison you order at the counter and they call your number when your food is ready. This restaurant is a "real" restaurant with wait staff etc. I ordered the lobster roll. It was OK but I wish I had ordered the butter on the side as it was added to the lobster and the roll was soggy with butter. We ended with apple pie that was excellent. The restaurant is in a great location on the water but is in need of a lot of updating.

I had high hopes for Pacifico, after reading the menu, but the descriptions were better than the reality. Drinks sounded good but were hard to distinguish from each other...(is this the daiquiri? or is that?). We had mostly small plates and shared, but nothing really wowed us. The ceviche was a disappointment-- 4 shrimp with lots of onion--if the idea is that the shrimp are expensive, I'd rather have more of some alternative (a white fish) The mussels were abundant, but not memorable. The fish tacos were again, 'okay', but the (fried) fish was just a bit soggy, and there was nothing special about the sauce. Service was fine, friendly and efficient. Maybe because we eat a lot of this type of food we have higher expectations, but nothing about Pacifico would bring me back. Thanks for the review and the feedback, CarTRVLR. We're sorry you had a less than stellar experience, and we hope you'll give us another chance to make it right.

Six of us went to Shell and Bones for a birthday dinner celebration. What disappointed our party may be what would attract others. Let me explain. First, parking is atrocious. The parking lot is far to small for the size of the restaurant, and valet parking is available and virtually imperative....but reasonable at $5.00. Our party was seated at a nice large round high-top table, normally conducive to conversation. However, the restaurantâs popularity attracts many people, and the attendant noise makes conversation difficult unless one doesnât mind shouting. Twenty (20) minutes passed before anyone stopped by to take drink orders, and that was only after we asked for some attention. It was another 20 minutes before drinks arrived. We were READY to drink by that time! Everything at Shell and Bones happens VERY SLOWLY. You will spend a long while waiting for everything, and the noise makes the passing oftime difficult. The six of us ordered 5 different appetizers and meals. They ranged from excellent (the scallop and shrimp ceviches app, the shell and bones entree) to fair (shrimp fra diavolo was bland and filet mignon was bathed in seasoning which overpowered the meat flavor). We almost passed on desert, because the live music began and added to the din, but we did order deserts and they were unique and very good. As I said in the beginning, the aspects of this business which we found to be negative may not bother some patrons, but with the exception of one couple in our threesome, we would not return. Oh, by the way, we were seated at 6:30 and left the restaurant at 10:30. Yes, FOUR (4) hours...far too slow paced for our taste.
