Asti, located in the heart of San Diego's Historic Gaslamp Quarter, has been providing guests with an exquisite fine-dining experience since 1994. Watch the passersby as you dine out on the patio for a pleasant shaded lunch or while indulging in a candlel
Fancy Italian restaurant in the Gaslamp quarter. The food is good and the portions reasonable. But the tables are too crowded, and service is very slow. Not what I expected for the price.Thank you for dining with us. We are happy that you enjoyed our food! We truly appreciate you taking time to share your feedback as it helps us learn where we can improve. Nobu, located in the Hard Rock Hotel of all places, seems a bit out of place. What is a high-end, classy Japanese restaurant doing in the Hard Rock? In any event, having dined at some of its sister restaurants, we opted for the Tanoshi Hour on a summer Friday.Tanoshi Hour has its own menu of small bites. We chose the yellowtail sashimi, pork yakiniku and black cod. All were stellar, but at $4.50 per bite on a happy hour priced menu, they should be. Washed it down with an Asahi draft ($7 for a tall, but thin, stein - probably no more than 10 oz.).Overall, quality was very high, as was the price.

Sure, this is not easy on the wallet; but the ambiance, location, service, and most importantly food is amazing, it's totally worth it.My first time here we came for dinner, and I was dreaming about the black cod (sable fish) all year knowing that I'd be back... I forced it into our schedule this trip for lunch, and we had the cooked mussels with the spicy sauce as and appetizer, split the black cod with soba noodles, and a side of broccolini with chinese sausage. I love how this place draws influences from different cuisines!!The mussels pack so much flavor, this is the only place I've had them prepared as such and it's so good. The sable fish is one of the most smooth, flaky, melt in your mouth kind of fish, and they prepare it perfectly! With a crisp exterior, and in that light broth; this dish is tremendous!! The broccolini is crunchy and the chinese sausage is flavorful. I almost forgot to mention their wonderful bread!! I would make sure to come here for at least one meal each time I'm back in San Diego. Thank you so much!!

The large room was surprisingly, not too noisy. Service was great; very friendly and helpful. Seating was comfortable and access to the food was not too crowded. And of course, I can't fault the food itself; both selection and quality. The sashimi seemed very fresh, for example. And the champagne glasses were kept full. Tax and gratuity made it a $250 brunch for two.Dear Milocat007,Thank you for sharing your experience. Weâre delighted to hear you enjoyed the ambiance of our space and that our lovely staff was able to make your meal more memorable. Weâre so glad you enjoyed both the wide array and high quality of our food selections, along with plenty of champagne sips! We enjoyed serving you and hope youâll join us for brunch again soon.Sincerely,Jun SurDirector of Food & Beverage

We love Eddie V and don't hesitate to go for a special occasion or just when we want to splurge. My absolute favorite dish is the Kung Pao Calamari. I also had the Goat cheese salad. It had a little to much cheese for me but most people would think it was the perfect amount. My husband had the lobster bisque which was good but not the be=st he's ever eaten and the scallops which were perfect.

My wife and I went to the Oceanaire Seafood Room for dinner in downtown San Diego and were BLOWN AWAY ! First of all we were so nicely greeted at the front counter by the Manager Chris Buetow. Chris was really nice and friendly as he seated us at a window table in the very nicely decorated dinning room. Then Michael our veteran server came to our table and answered all of our questions about the large menu items. Michael's professional and very educational detailed knowledge about how Oceanaire's meals are prepared, cooked and served, was very interesting. He was a great server. We started our meal with a couple nice tasting cocktails from the bar. Michael also brought us some delicious Sourdough Bread and a dish of Vegetable hors d'oeuvre. We started our meal with a Chesapeake Bay Style Crab Cake with Creamy Mustard Mayonnaise. It was so fresh and tasty. My wife started with the Spicy Tuna Poke with Crispy Won tons and Wasabi Emulsion. It looked Awesome and was Delicious ! She then had the Southern Fried Buttermilk Calamari with Hot Sauce, and Crispy Chile's. It was so Big and cooked perfectly. I had a bowl of thick and Yummy New England Clam Chowder which had a lot of delicious Bacon cooked in it. I then had a dish I have never seen anywhere. The Truffalo Country Fried Filet Mignon Tips with Blue Cheese Cream, and Green Onions. That' right in a seafood restaurant, you could find this dish. And it was Unbelievable ! The tips were so tender the literally melted in your mouth. And the special thick Truffalo sauce on the tips was so delicious. The Blue cheese cream sauce was Soooooooo Good ! This very unusual dish, was one of the best I have ever tasted anywhere ! The Oceanaire General Manager and Operating Partner Philip Shayne also came by our table several times during our meal, and was very nice as he was making sure that everything was going great for us during our dinner. Then for dessert we enjoy an elegant Baked Alaska. It was very good !. The dinning experience we enjoyed at the Oceanaire Seafood Room was off the chart, and received an A+ from us.

Enjoy expertly prepared fresh seafood and steaks served in an elegant, nautically-themed atmosphere. Patio seating available.
This is one of the most mixed reviews I have ever written because one of the entrees ordered was excellent while the other entree (surf and turf) was awful. The Ahi Tuna entree was very tasty and I would order it again. The Turf portion of the Surf and Turf was cooked to order, yet extremely fatty and surprisingly tasteless. It was also very frustrating to see the steak served at the table next to ours was larger in size with minimum fat. Our waitress was very friendly and the atmosphere is pleasant. There is patio seating and a bar area serving awesome cocktails. I will definitely give them a second chance.

When they say you will get dirty eating seafood I didnât expect them to just set a plastic bag on the table full of our dinner. Seafood was good and had a lot of choice levels for spice to choose from. Make sure you ask for the plastic gloves since there are no utensils.

Blue Point is a 1940s style New York supper club featuring great martinis, the freshest seafood and prime aged beef. The dining room is lined with cherry wood and Frank Sinatra's music is common overhead.
Ezekiel and this mentor Johnathan were wonderful! Service as we remember it from restaurants 20 plus years ago; professional, attentive, and friendly. These were not 19 year old kids who don't know or care about the difference between a fork and spoon. Ezekiel and Johnathan were career waiters who obviously have a love for what they do and the wine/food they present! The split of the caesar salads was devine. And both fish dishes were "12" on a scale of 1 to 10; beautifully presented, excellently favored, and plentiful. Overall, Blue Point was a dining experience we sadly haven't found in a long time. We look forward to returning during our next trip to San Diego!

We met some friends today for lunch on Pier 32 in National City, at The Waterfront Grill. The Restaurant sits above a beautiful new 250-slip marina on the Sweetwater River that leads to the San Diego Bay. The Waterfront Grill has indoor and outdoor seating for your convenience. After picking out your table and looking at the menu, and picking out your breakfast or dinner plates, customers will then walk up to the cashier counter where you will meet Debbie Stephenson. Debbie was so nice as she takes your order and you pay your Bill in advance, so your food can be delivered by DJ the nice server, to your table. Waterfront Grill also features many varieties of Sodas, Wines, and Beers, for your pleasure to enjoy. We had the very delicious New England style Clam Chowder, served in a sourdough bread bowl. The soup was really tasty. The Fish & Chips which were very tasty and crispy served with homemade Tater Sauce. And we had the Mesquite Smoked Albacore Sandwich, which was home made with grilled sourdough bread, garlic aoli, shaved red onion, toasted walnuts, and organic greens. It was Sooooo Good ! The Sandwich comes with a side of either garlic fries, mixed greens, potato salad, bean salad or regular crispy french fries. We had the regular crispy french fries which were very good. Great Food, Great Service, Great Prices, and Great Views. How can you Top that. The Waterfront Grill on Pier 32 is a must go place for Breakfast, Lunch or Happy Hour. It's worth the visit !
