My friend suggested this family operated restaurant. Never judge a book by its cover because they offered me the absolute best tuna i have tasted in Japan. I am returning tomorrow to eat again and i might double on my order. Prices are surprisingly low for what you get, i would honestly pay 1.5 times more for this level of freshness. Thanks form having me!

You can see this shop upon exiting Kintetsu-Nara Station. Went on a Sunday but it was pretty quiet. I ordered the set on display since the limited menu is only in Japanese which I do not understand. The sushi here does not come with any soya sauce and wasabi which I was not used to. Only pickled ginger was provided.

It was such an amazing experience! Sushis were really delicious and big in portion. The unagi was grilled with homemade sauce. Some shellfish sushis are totally unheard off to non-Japanese people. The ebi (prawn) sushi is enormous and made from non-frozen prawn. You can taste the seawater in the prawn. Most clientèles are local Japanese people. If you are adventurous, order some shellfish like the Japanese people, but you can only point to the dishes of others to order coz the uncommon shellfish are not written on their English menu. Shouldn't miss this fantastic opportunity to eat like a local.
