After arriving on a late ferry and passing through the Melilla/Nador customs we were tired and made an unbooked overnight stop at the Doha. The staff were friendly and helpful and the restaurant food was good. We were a party of three people with two hotel rooms at the Doha which were small and fairly expensive for the area. The road outside was noisy and the aircon in my room dripped all night. In the early hours of the morning there was such a large puddle in the room we had to vacate before our belongings were soaked and, at about 4.00am, continued our journey onwards. With good grace, and genuine surprise at the flooding, the management did not charge for this room. The room prices were not displayed in the hotel foyer or in the rooms themselves so, if I were to consider stopping there again, I would negotiate the price first and also ask for a room not facing the road.
