Food was very good. Service was very good. The food came out in a timely fashion. The price was competitive. Overall very good
I like their food. I have heard complaints from people that it is too greasy, but that isn't my experience at this location. The French fries are good, the coleslaw is very good, the fish is good with great coating. They offer malted vinegar too if you are used to putting that on your fish as they do in Europe, Canada or New Zealand. Even the chicken tenders are tasty. I am not a fan of the hush puppies myself.
There are at least four other Mexican restaurants within a mile of this newly opened facility but this is different in that it leads with seafood. The location used to be a mexican grocery with a lunch counter. Now it has been remodeled into a modestly decorated family restaurant, certainly classy enough for a date or a business associate without being fancy or overly ethnic. Ceviches, soups, and entrees are all available. Food was OK and moderately priced, but I'd like to try more things on the menu before finalizing my opinion. I went for lunch, but I think there is alcohol available.

Being a vegetarian, Sushi choices are always limited. This restaurant has great options ... their combinations item for vegetarian on the menu has a great variety. Even my colleagues like the non veg options... the ambience is great and the place is very busy.

Do not understand the rave reviews here. We tried this place for dinner. The ambience is ok, but thought the food marginal, at best. The fish was nothing special, the soup extraordinarily salty, even the room temperature bread (not hot as another reviewer indicated) tasted stale. The service was surly ( maybe you get better service if you are a "regular").We did not have a coupon, as recommended by other reviewers, but even at 2 for 1, would not have been worth our time.

Oldest brewpub in Illinois. Now located in a newly renovated 100 building in downtown Libertyville, IL.
The new location of Mickey Finn's is beautifully done. It has the trendy exposed brick and beams look to it now. The beer is served in the same type of glasses that Oberweis serves their shakes in (very thick glasses that make it look like you have a gallon of beer in front of you). Mickey Finns is a great place to sit with friends, eat good food and catch up with friends. Heads up-this place is usually packed.

We had a reservation at 5, and were seated just after 5. That was the one good thing. Our server, who never told us his name, didn't take our order til 5:30. At 6:10 we still didn't have any food and we never saw our waiter, so we left. Can you imagine? The people seated around us had a different waiter. They got food and seemed happy. We would like to apologize for the unpleasant experience, and ask you to please consider giving us another chance in the future. Thank you.
