We have dined at this amazing restaurant on multiple occasions and have never been disappointed. Marco is a brilliant chef, committed to providing his diners with the ultimate dining experience. He only serves fresh fish, prepared in healthy, creative presentations. This is truly our favorite restaurant in Tuscany.

I have been brought here by friends.I was delighted about the place. Ok, it is rustic and it looks more like a 'Grand Tour' osteria than a modern gourmet restaurant. It is located right on a corner of an old road leading to the magnificent Massa Marittima. But the food was just right.Seafood was good, the pizza was ok. They have a broad menu spacing from seafood to meat and pizza. Service was efficient and the dessert at the end was just great. Everything ended up with a little bill.They have a half covered veranda.

Nice place, good hospitality in one of the most beautiful Italian square just in front of a masterpiece church and middle age surrounds. Excellent cooking with creativity if you leave them freedom to create food combination: they bring you amazing mixed trays with vegetables and local specialties from Tuscany. A place where I will certainly go back.

We ate here at the suggestion of our B&B host. The restaurant manager is a lovely, charming fellow and his father is the chef. We ate outside in a smartly decorated garden area. The seafood was delicious - we had 2 pasta dishes and a main which was seafood stew (I canât remember the proper name). Add 2 beers and 1 sparkling water, the bill was only â¬50. We absolutely loved the food, wish we were staying longer so we could come back again,

La Ciottolona is a small restaurant with a shady cool garden and pool (don't forget your swim wear) :)The menu is based on the "slow food" movement with local ingredients and tasty surprises such as lemon in the tortellini and capers with anchovies in the vinegar they serve within the slices beef (tagliata di manzo). They also serve a refreshing white wine which goes great with the garden setting under the grape vines. The manager is super friendly and will make you feel at home in his restaurant.

After various different owners in the past years that had nearly destroyed the reputation of this restaurant/osteria just close to a roundabout on the way to Massa Marittima from Siena, now with Chef Aurelio we are finally on the good track again! I have been here today and several times during last year and I can say that the food I ordered was always very good. Enjoyable here is fresh fish and seafood cooked according to local tradition but with a touch of genius coming from the long experience of Aurelio. But also meat dishes, trippa, cinghiale and pasta and homemade tortelli. Absolutely to try. But do not expect a luxury environment. Very nice place to sit with friends and family. Staff is very friendly and care taking. Young people who run the restaurant. Cook is German speaking and a good one. White house vine you need to try. Meals are traditional but (see above: good cook, young people) there is always something special with them which is away from the "usual". Big like!!

We had a great menú there with different kinds of fish to the courses. My favourite is the Risotto Nero di Sepia. Service was very helpful even with the kid. Only a baby change unit was missing.

The restaurant offers good Italian an Tuscany food. There is a small playground for the kids, allowing parents the have some quality time. The staff is very friendly and speak a little bit English. Don't go there if you are in a hurry. thank you. claudia pinna
