We enjoyed a lovely late summer dinner on the patio, with excellent food and wine. Although the menu was in Italian our waiter was able to help sufficiently with translations, and service was very professional. We had to try the regional specialty, bistecca alla Fiorentina, which is a huge portion for two (we took home leftovers). Prepared very rare, it was delicious although I usually prefer a leaner cut.

What can I say, the food was absolutely amazing and I cannot recommend Ciborgo highly enough! The quality of the seafood which just melted in your mouth and the dishes were well presented. It's hard to pick a favourite! I think We were in a group of 8 people and the service was impeccable. The sommelier was quite knowledgeable and recommended cracker of a white wine to accompany the seafood dishes.

This place is tucked away in the Tuscan town of Malmantile. Visited by locals, it is a favorite. Their menu reflects the freshest ingredients of the region and season. Delicious bruschettas, crostinis topped fresh local tomatoes or local favorites like grilled vegetables and fegatini. For "primi" they offer tagliatelle with pistachio pesto, macheroni with mushrooms, wonderful pizzas, clam and mussels sauté and fresh seafood pastas. A wonderful place to eat at with low prices considering the area and the quality.

I wanted to try a new restaurant and the as always I trusted the review of this web site, so I booked a table for 4 to celebrate the purchase of my new home! This restaurant opened recently by a restoration of an old country house bringing back the old glow while incorporating some modern details. The staff was cordial, except for the end of the meal where they were purposely (I suppose) trying to get us to notice with some noise while pretending to clean the tables near us, that the restaurant was about to close, we were the last table. We stayed that late because we had really a good time, the company was excellent and the food was simply delightful. We had the mix seafood starter, which consist of a variety of small hot dishes and a big tray of raw goodies from the sea.We then ordered 4 pasta dishes that were good as well, and we had the Tarte Tatin for dessert.I will definitely go back hoping they will keep up the good work!

We went here because our Agriturismo in Castra recommended it. I read some reviews first and it seemed the English-speakers received bad service. I'm pleased to say our service was great. They even made up a "bed" out of chairs and cushions for our 3-year old, who fell asleep in the car on the way there, and stayed asleep all through dinner! We arrived right when it opened; 7pm, I think, and were some of the only diners there, which was great since we had a large group (4 adults, 4 kids). My husband and I shared the Tuscan grilled meat platter. It was all soooo good, especially the chicken and roasted potatoes!! We ate it all. Loved the crispy yet soft focaccia bread that came out after, too. It was melt-in-your mouth. We also had the Tuscan antipasta platter, which was tasty as well. The kids had delicious pizzas- cooked just perfectly. I had to have a sample. As with many other restaurants in Italy, they brought the pizza out for the kids very quickly so they weren't left waiting. The building itself is gorgeous on the inside and the outside. Tuscany is just beautiful everywhere. This was a great dining experience.

We wanted to visit a place were locals eat and this was excactly what we were looking for. At first glance the place looked a bit shabby but still cosy. Little disappointed to the "tablecloths" which were just simple pieces of paper with advertisement. All in all, the tables were clean, glasses were clean and everything was neat. The staff was very kind and professional, they even spoke english quite well. Menus were only in italian, so we needed some translating from the staff. They actually seemed to be happy to help us. Service was quick and food, oh my God was GREAT! At first I was going to order just a basic stake, but the waiter recommended me their speciality stake (or something like that) and i was not disappointed for what I got.I will definately recommend this place if you want to see real Italian culture (and maybe a football game) and you aren't looking nothing too fancy. Prices were good, not expensive at all I think at least compared to prices in Finland . Also this place was a bit cheaper than the "tourist" places.

We stopped into this great restaurant without a reservation on our way to do some ceramic shopping. We spent several hours here enjoying the multiple plates of fish, pasta and steak for lunch as well as some great red wine.Every thing they served was amazing and the service was equally as great! We were trying to find a particular store and one of the waiters went down the street to find someone who spoke good English for us and we eventually found our destination thanks to their assistance. After all of the food we ate, I still felt hungry and the food was cooked so perfectly.

"Le scuderie de l'Antinoro" are a magic area. Out of time but very near to main roads. Twenty minutes from Florence, thirtyfive minutes from Pisa. An accurate restoration of a building edificated in 1860 for the horses of the King of italy in the short pe
I've eaten here a few times and for a casual restaurant their dishes are 5-star quality! The pizza is excellent and the pasta/meat/seafood dishes are truly gourmet cuisine. Their ingredients are fresh and the chef has a creative flair that shows through. The service is impeccable, their waiters are professional and friendly. The reason I give them 4 stars and not 5 is the ambience. This restaurant is located in I believe what was once the horse stables of a large estate of one of the area's ancient noble families. The main dining room is expansive with high ceilings. Although well furnished and pleasant I feel it's a bit cold and impersonal. The lighting should be warmer, perhaps some candles on the table, some nice jazz music in the background could make the atmosphere more intimate. There is a smaller adjacent dining room for those ordering full meals (not pizza) and it's much cozier. There's a fireplace in this room with a couch in front and is the perfect dining experience for chilly evenings. The restaurant also has other rooms and outdoor spaces where they host banquets, weddings and other events. All in all, highly recommendable for the excellent food!
