Don't let the outside deceive you. The food and service are excellent. We were one of the first parties to arrive and, by the time we left, there wasn't a spare seat in the house. The menu was catied, all around the seafood theme. I really liked it and would willingly come again.

I had dinner recently at the Waterfront Grill. The setting along the river is about as good as you can ask for in Monroe, Louisiana. They have a nice menu with both surf and turf options. None of the fish is fried, and I absolutely love that commitment in a region that is known for fried fish. The Catfish Desiard, which is made up of two fillets topped with bread crumbs, mushrooms, parmesan cheese, and shrimp, was a terrific entree. The stuffed potato side dish would go well with any entree on any day of the year; it was terrific! The prices are a little high (mine was $23) for the area, but I believe the quality is there. The service was exceptional, and the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

This is no fancy place, just good food, and obviously filled with locals. Go there for the real thing! Don’t forget the fried crawfish tails appetizer.....

Our destination restaurant while travelling through Monroe. Excellent service with food to match. We’ve tried different offering on each visit and all apps, mains and sides are of a level that most restaurants can’t usually sustain. This time we had great roasted oysters, couldn’t pass up the duck fat fries again, wedge salad (wife’s favorite anywhere), Campfire Redfish and another fish special. It’s difficult to cook fish correctly, especially different ones being delivered at the same time, but our entrees were perfect. That said, management has to do something about the men’s bathroom. When we asked our server about the water seeping down the wall, a yellow wet floor marker that blocked one sink, she remarked that it had been like that for some time. Unacceptable for any establishment and especially for one at this price point. Obviously, Monroe’s health inspectors haven’t been around in a while.
