Recommended by hotel. Unassuming, smallish trattoria. What I would call rustic/ home cooked food. Locals eat there (including 6 big police boys with guns!), couples and families. It seems most dishes are freshly cooked and whilst personally adventurous I was steered to good choices - I had a reasonably big octopus in front of me at one point! Very limited English- you must go

Delicious Mediterranean cuisine in the heart of modica. Menu with typical sicilian products. Selection of local wine and artigianal beers.
What a wonderful experience we had at Bisboccia tonight! The chef, Walter, cooked the best food of our trip! We enjoyed the polpo (octopus) appetizer, pistachio and pork pasta, and seafood soup - all perfect! Our daughter raved about the French fries and grilled vegetables as well! Chiara helped us pick the perfect wine and explained all the dishes. We are grateful that she speaks such perfect English since we donât speak much Italian. No problem, Chiara and Walter made us feel extremely welcome! We ended the night with a creative, delicious version of tiramisu as well as âchocolate salamiâ (not really salami but a delicious, inventive dessert that looked just like it. If you want a memorable and delicious meal, you need to visit Bisboccia! We will definitely return this week. Grazie mille!

This was the restaurant attached to the hotel, we were so surprised how lovely it was. the food was amazing I don't eat meat and was giving wonderful main courses 2 nights running. We had great fun listening to the waiter explaining where both how the food was made and where the wine had come from, lovely additions of little starters, bred and little deserts a wonderful experience. l

This restaurant is owned and operated by a younger generation of a family that have been in the restaurant business for 2-3 generations. Clearly, the new generation has learned much from the older generation, but they have also found new ways to present classic Italian cooking. We found the combination to be a wonderful experience. We started with tagliatelle frutti di mare, and a tartare of swordfish; then moved on to a filet of branzino. The taste, style of presentation, and attention to service and detail were all simply excellent, and the prices very reasonable. If you visit Modica, it is worth the effort to get a reservation.Thank you for your really nice words about our restaurant! We hope to see you soon in Modica!

Ornato seafood and fish restaurant is situated in one of the most picturesque lanes in modica, very close to the central square corrado rizzone. A love of the sea and respect for our traditions are at the heart of our cooking at ornato. We take great prid
We (a group of four) visited this restaurant twice at our stay in Modica. Both times we had great dishes with fresh and very well tasting food, where innovative combination of ingredients provides a modern twist to a number of traditional and popular dishes.Service is excellent and the prices are fair for this level of fish restaurants.A real pleasure!

Capero Bistrot combines flavors, colors, sensations and quality of ingredients, through a careful and constant research aimed to enhance Sicilian products.
Great little restaurant in the centre of Modica. We dined here for two of our three nights in Modica, and we generally try to avoid going back to the same place twice. Catered very well for vegetarians, there was enough on the menu to have completely different vegetarian meals each night (they modified the menu a little for us, making the Modican antipasto platter more vegetarian focused). Traditional Sicilian food executed very, very well for very reasonable prices and perhaps the best meals on our trip. Highlights were the salted ricotta, caponata and vegetable arancini on the antipasto platter, a fava bean and dill gnocchi dish, and the almond parfait. Would highly recommend.

To say that our experience at Accursio exceeded our expectations would be an understatement! The setting is one of understated elegance. The service is wonderful. But the food is just out-of-this world! Course after course where the depth of the quality was matched only by the breadth of the creativity. The wine recommended (a Mount Etna red) married beautifully with the variety of flavors and textures presented over what were, in effect (including amuses bouches and a savory pre-dessert), ten courses. The experience was not only indescribably delicious, but fun! I canât Imagine that Accursio will not receive a well-deserved second star before long, and the food is of three-star quality!

We offer a traditional, genuine cuisine, with local and italian dishes. Only home-made pasta of ancient sicilian wheats and zero mile ingredients.
This is a small seafood restaurant right in front of a beautiful Catholic Church. The food was good, but not great. However the location and the view was well worth the experience. The service was a little slow, but passable if you are not in a hurry. I had pasta with seafood that was tasty but a touch over cooked. The shrimp were cooked to mush and the pasta was a little overdone. For a second course I had the Italian sausage. The sausage was well prepared and very tasty.
