Unpretentious good food
We had a lovely meal here on Sunday night. Can recommend the scallops, calamari and Hake in chilli and garlic. Nice intimate surroundings but well sound proofed so a pleasant atmosphere. Service was good too. Only strange thing was it being cash only which we were only told on receipt of the bill, but I am sure that was just an oversight.

Invited to dinner by friends to eat here often. Lived in Margate all my life, never knew this place was here. Restaurant very small but roomy enough to not be imposing with a great atmosphere and good music. Menu appeared dependant on catch available that day. Food was fresh and delicious and very well presented. Will certainly return to try other dishes but not too often - only criticism is that everything was expensive. If slightly cheaper Iâd be eating here more often.

Fish & Chip takeaway and restaurant.
This is a very popular fish and chip shop, which occasionally means quite a long wait time (as much as 20 minutes on a couple of occasions). We have had numerous items from the menu, from cod to battered sausage and saveloy. The chips are consistently excellent. Staff are always polite and friendly.Highly recommended.Thank you for reviewing us. We do offer an option for telephone orders so this would reduce your wait at busy times. We look forward to your next visit. From all the team at Minnis Bay.

2 AA Rosette, family run restaurant & seafood bar overlooking the beach in Margate, Kent. Serving great quality food & drinks in a relaxed & stylish seaside setting. Located in both the garden of England & on the British coastline, we have access to a fan
I've had cocktails on the terrace with friends, drinks and seafood and the bar and dinner in the restaurant, and I've had excellent food, drink and service each time I've been. The views are stunning, and the staff always friendly and really helpful. The food is delicious and varied and the drinks are fantastic - local wines and great cocktails.

This has opened in the last week. Google still shows the former restaurant here called Cornish Pasty Co.
Being an elderly man who has eaten many fish and chip meals I consider that I am well qualified to judge it's qualityI have no hesitation in recommending this shop. the chips are excellent together with the battered fish making it a perfect meal for any one who likes quality food.

Angelaâs is a small neighbourhood restaurant with an uncomplicated philosophy. We aim to serve delicious, ethically sourced seafood alongside simple, seasonal vegetable-based dishes. We will always endeavour to be sustainable, both in our ingredients and
The food and wine at Angelaâs were magnificent. The venue is beautiful and the service was impeccable. With one exception; we were visiting from London and it was made clear to us by the waitress at the start that âLondoners are ruining Margateâ. Other staff members could hide their disdain but, as we left, we overheard them all complaining about people from London occupying Margate. A shame, as we have nothing but respect for Margate and are delighted to bring our custom here, including spending over £150 on dinner. Otherwise, a truly excellent restaurant that lived up to much hyped expectations.

Part of the fabulous Royal Harbour Hotel, the 40 cover Empire Room restaurant serves great food using fresh local ingredients in a charming club like setting.
Not a review I wanted write about an independent Thanet restaurant. After being recommended by friends and looking at trip advisor reviews we decided to pay a visit. After arriving we went down to the basement were one of two sets of customers. The place was dusty , damp and filthy and that was kind . This is unacceptable . Wonkey paintings on the walls and an attractive view of a bin and messy desk were a delightful treat. Some would call it eccentric , I call it poor management. We decided to persevere though as the food could have been good. Soon the other couple left and we were the only ones there. The young lady serving did her best but the music and decor wereso depressing and my friends decided to get some fresh air before they choked in the damp , dusty and depressing atmosphere. What then happened was just appalling. Whoever was in the kitchen was swearing so loudly and repeatedly that it created a really unexpected spit and sawdust experience. Iâm not precious but I was with my wife and daughter. It was offensive to say the least.I was so shocked we approached the waitress paid for the drinks and left. MA sad end to a wholly extremely disappointing experience.. We wonât be going again.

Weâre from Australia & when we order fish n chips at home you wait...not here. Theyâre cooked & ready to go at all times. Good size fish, but a tad greasy for my liking.

Popped in last knocking on a Friday evening. Why do fish and chip shops close so early? (Around 2115)Two medium cod and chips, cooked to order.Well, quick, lovely sizzling sound of the chips cooking.Great portion size.Fresh tasting, big portions, great value, what could be better?
