As of the 2010 United States Census, the township had a total population of 66,522, making it the state's 16th largest municipality, having seen an increase of 195 residents (0.3%) from its population of 66,327 in the 2000 Census, when it was the state's 17th most populous municipality, which had in turn declined by 1,856 (−2.7%) from the 68,183 counted in the 1990 Census. Middletown is one of the oldest sites of European settlement in New Jersey.

My wife and I have now eaten here several times. The room is certainly stylish, and the menu eclectic, but the food needs some work. We tarted with an IPA, and it was not to my taste. Not hoppy enough. We also started with a mezzo plate with hummus, smoked eggplant dip, pickled vegetables, olives and flatbread. The components were fine, but the presentation was stylish but very awkward to eat. The olives and pickled vegetables were piled on top of the two dips so that you had to push them out of the way to get at the dips. Pushing them off of the hummus pushed them onto the eggplant dip and vice verse. Very awkward. I had the tempura vegetables. The coating on the vegetables was thin and not adhered to the vegetables so it fell off when you went to eat the. The Yakatori (?) sauce accompanying them was very thin and did not have much flavor. My wife had the mussels and frites and declared them âfineâ. Nuff said, she loves mussels.

We felt like takeout this night, so we opted for Japanese food. We order a mixture of items: avocado salads (it was larger than other area restaurants), gyoza pork dumplings, two tempuras (shrimp and vegetables lightly batter fried). A Chilean sea bass appetizer. A large vegetable lo mein and a large shrimp meshi, fried rice for the three of us to share. The food was delicious, nothing amazing but atypical for the area I live in. We'll likely go back when we get a hankering for Japanese food.

We get Pasquale's pizza 3 - 4 times a month. The pizzas are really good and they are always delivered piping hot. The delivery people are especially courteous. We order "custom pizzas" - not on the menu as such (ex. no sauce, broccoli rabe, sliced tomatoes) and they always accommodate our requests. Also - there are $2 coupons in the local super saver ads.

A few days ago I came to check out this place I was hearing raves about. I was skeptical and on a limited diet so I was doubtful I could find what I can have. I was soo wrong the food was fresh, healthy and delicious. It was so good that when my kids and I were having a busy day and wanted to grab a quick dinner we came here again. We all enjoyed our meals and another great part is if you want a drink to go with you fast delicious meal ...they have a bar as well. The wait staff was great. The only downside is itâs small so it might be difficult to find a seat as news spreads about the great food being made here.

So each visit is exciting. The seating is always cozy. The byob option really appeals to all here. Food is diverse but appropriate seasonally & otherwise. Have had nothing but excellent meals.. Try the Creole selection. Bam!!
