Me and the wife popped in to Clam & Cork whilst on a food and beer tour around Doncaster centre last month and thought it was incredible. Whether you change from the standard menu or their ever changing specials board you will not be disappointed. The food is all freshly prepared in front of you and arrives in efficient time by their wonderful staff. You can tell that everyone is proud of what theyâre producing at this restaurant. The chefs and waiters are all attentive, asking if everything is okay or if youd like anything else.We ordered three dishes to share between us, all of which were outstanding and very reasonably priced for such high quality food. We were amazed when we got the bill and it was only around £30. We ordered a Thai style mussels broth with naan bread, an Indian prawn and mango salad (both on the specials board) and a portion of calamari, all of which were washed down with a couple of chilled beers. Lovely!Thank you for choosing the Clam & Cork for lunch on your Anniversary. We are delighted you enjoyed your lunch and hopefully look forward to welcoming you back in the near future.Kind regardsFrom the Clam & Cork Team

Great fish chips n sloppy peas, reasonably priced, friendly helpful staff, we make a 6 mile round trip to this chippy even though we live across from a fish shop...enough said. Only downside is they could open longer hours.

Nice little place, clearly has a good reputation, quite a busy place. Service is very friendly. Good is really good. Very nice bit of fish, chips nice, not anaemic coloured. The pies looked very tempting too, homemade. Will be returning. Only down side is that it's not open late. Closes at 7pm

The what was XL Fisheries has undergone a major transformation into Seven Seas. The once small takeaway has grown into a traditional new takeaway and now with a seated restaurant upstairs. The proud owners who have been running the shop years before the r
I came for lunch here with my mum and stepdad!! They refused to serve my mum a childâs fish and chips even though I explained that she is 92 with dementia, terminal colon cancer and is eating hardly anything!! So I asked for an empty plate and my and my stepdad gave her bits of our meals!!Itâs the first time weâve ever been refused a childâs meal for my mum!!!

I visited this restaurant's takeaway counter and ordered the homemade fish cake and chips for £4. The staff were really friendly and there were plenty of them in their smart polo shirts and there was good natured banter with customers. The place is really bright, clean and modern. The fishcake was nicely chunky with plenty of seasonng. The chips were fluffy on the inside, crispy on the outside and not too brown. Will hopefully be calling again soon.
The Pym Road Chippy is the best chippy in Mexborough, that's a fact. It's a traditional chippy, the kind that used to be on every corner when I wo growing up.The food is sublime, the owners are friendly, it's as cheap as chips; so there's no excuse not to give it a try.The Pym Road Chippy in my opinion as a customer, is the best Chippy in Mexborough, and the surrounding area.

The quality of the food is superb. The cleanliness of the restaurant is excellent. Fish was coated with a light and crispy batter and the chips were fantastic. The only reason for four stars? Service. I donât expect to be patronised by a waiter/manager dressed in a dirty white shirt and jeans. Even my wife found his manner quite âuniqueâ and she tolerates anything. She complimented him on the quality of the food by mentioning the empty plates: this was not acknowledged. Indeed he was very lacking in people skills. Would return for the food, but some front of house training required. Superficial service really gets my goat. Do not let this deter you from sampling some of the finest fish and chips in Yorkshire. Delicious, and great value. Car park was full of people eating takeaway (it was 30 degrees!) which clearly affirms the quality of the place. Full marks to the chef!
